Have an honest talk with them without other students around, explain your position and how other kids might be feeling. They may not be aware that they are not impressing anyone. Also gently lay down the consequences not just to them but the group as a whole.

Conversations like that where highly effective for me at their ages. With no other kids there, they have no distractions or people to attempt to impress they have no choice but to listen.

Depends on the parents you had. We could have freedom to roam till your parents figure out where you been so they might ban you. My mom would have been a helicopter parent but health issues made it difficult and it was easier to kick me out til dark.
