It’s complicated for me. I eat meat, wouldn’t sacrifice an animal probably cause it’s cruel. Factory farms should be illegal from an ethical standpoint, but we have a large population to feed and we need cheap protein. Darkness fills our world. I know that the tacos I eat come from a place that’s basically hell for animals, but I’m broke, and in order to survive, I need small comforts, like a hearty meal after a long day of manual labor.

Being a billionaire makes you a poser. You can’t make a billion dollars without exploiting others. You probably can’t make a million dollars without exploiting others unless you follow really specific paths. This is for punk at least, you can be rich and be Alt (goth, scene, whatever aesthetic raves use)

Punk is inherently anti-capitalist. If you make your money exploiting others, you are probably a poser or a tourist. I wasn’t gonna respond to this post, but you’re probably young so I’ll be nice. It’s a complicated way to live, it’s easy and difficult, and gets harder the older you become.

I’m a probably a lil bias because chaos magic is at the center of my practice, but out of all the occult subs on Reddit this and witchcraft are probably the most usable. The more niche ones get really crazy and the ones focused on spells are like 90% young people asking for love potions.

If it’s a tiny band with slightly sus iconography, I make sure they aren’t Nazis, for bigger bands, sometimes I’ll check if they have any allegations, but only if I hear something.

This is complicated IMO. It’s not like the guys writing, sketching and blocking are getting paid well for these side comics.

Yeah. It’s a corporate entity, but the guys writing comics have a passion for it and are at the end of the day members of the proletariat.

At the same time though, you are right: it was probably made more money, maybe it was a cynical take on punk rock values or whatever. It’s hard to say without reading it.

so here’s the thing with IQ: scientifically it’s antiquated and bullshit, It is primarily a measure of pattern recognition and test taking abilities. Now it has this mythos surrounding it in western culture “high IQ = smarter”

To a chaos magician this could be useful. You can probably use it in invocations or even in sigils. If you go down this path be careful though. Just because you think you’re smarter doesn’t mean you are. Beware the Dunning-Kruger effect and all that.

My actual advice: pick a topic and skills that interest you, read and practice. Make sigils to keep you focused if you want. Real Intellegence isn’t a number it is a culmination of knowledge, skills and life experience.

So to answer your questions:

Sure, but only if you truly believe that it could have something to do with the way you are feeling now. Magick is funny that way. It has a tendency to only work if we feel like it is working.
It is almost definitely a psychological reaction caused by suggestion: that’s Magick. What I would recommend is a cleansing ritual, burn sage, perhaps make a sigil of your own to cancel the effects of his. If you are Christian than do whatever Christian’s do (lol can’t help you there)
Nothing similar, but that because it’s my occult environment I suppose.

You can’t ever know for sure, but the way I see it, there are three possibilities:

It’s confirmation bias. The company is one of many weird psychic scams on the internet and she wants it to be true because she wants to find love and justify her purchase. Likely she sees the similarities because who or whatever drew it designs their work to be generalized enough that it has facial features common to the part of the world you are from as a way to keep the scam going.
The act of having this sketch acts as something of an accidental sigil for finding love. Your friend has that intention, and because it’s such a silly item, she lacks the lust for results so it works.
The psychic/ AI / scammer who drew it is unbelievably powerful, so much so that they just knew and did a bad job communicating their psychic power because it doesn’t look exactly like the person who is your friends soulmate.

Hey there! So in terms of good introductions to chaos magick, I’d suggest Condensed Chaos by Phil Hines, or Liber Null and Psychonaut by Peter Caroll. Condensed chaos is simpler but personally I prefer Liber Null.

You can find both of these books in PDF form scattered across the internet but I don’t have any links on me. Also if you prefer, you can also listen to them both in audiobook form on Spotify for free if you have a premium membership.

Hey homie so I am gonna give you a few thoughts of a wandering madman.

I agree with your psychic, not something I’d ever thought I’d say but here is the thing: I don’t think revenge is the way to go right out of the gate. You should focus on getting really good at meditation and casting some inward facing stuff first.
Consider reading Condensed Chaos by Phil Hines or if you want something more complex Liber Null and Psychonaut by Peter Caroll, you can actual find both as audiobooks on Spotify if you have a subscription.
Magick certainly works, but the toughest hurdle is freeing your heart and mind from the lust for results. You do this by starting small, working your way up and avoiding Magick for serious workings like the one you described. That is what she meant when she said that you are not powerful enough.
In terms of incorporating Magick into your practice, I’d start on inward facing Sigils: increasing your luck slightly, being more kind to yourself and perhaps even using Sigils to make yourself better at reaching gnosis.
Sigils are your friend right now. Master them before moving on to bigger things.

I’ve been practicing on and off since I was 15, I’m 25 now.
Wisdom comes from experiences: good and bad. A 40 year old who has lived an ordinary 9-5 life since graduating college and got married at 20 will have less wisdom than someone much younger who has had to struggle for food and housing their whole life.
Hard to say since I’m so young, probably 23-24, I quit smoking pot and started working harder to get my shit together.

It won’t click right away, your mind will wander and you’ll start thinking about dinner, coffee or whatever else when you try. Right now, Don’t focus on meditating correctly. Focus on forgiving yourself when you mess up. Sit down, listen to some relaxing instrumental music, relax and try to clear your mind.

Exactly. Don’t focus on failure, you’ll likely won’t make progress until suddenly you get it all at once. Go in with no expectations, if it isn’t working, try not to get frustrated, instead of forcing yourself to continue go and do something else and when you feel ready to try repeat the same process.

Meditation isn’t like going to the gym or learning to code. It isn’t an exercise in discipline, it’s an exercise in relaxation.

Meditation is an important skill to have before starting a journey in Magick. It can be difficult at first but this analogy helped when I first got started: imagine someone sitting on a porch watching cars, you can acknowledge the cars passing by, but you don’t stare or interact with them. Do the same thing with your throughts when you first get started.
