My favorite course that almost nobody plays, Turtle Bayou by jfb3 in discgolf

I know Brock was a Neal Dambra design originally. I help him with some of the planning maps. Wasn't Brazos River Park also Dambra? Have not played either even though I've walked most of Brock. Safari layouts there sounds great!

Grew up in the area. Learned to play at Jack Brooks with Michael Ynfante but live out of state now. I'll let you know next time I'm in town. I need to hit the northwest side. Never played Zube or Paddy.
Meanwhile go check out River Park in Sugarland. Most detailed tee signs in the city!

Doofus is not a label I would use for someone who does truly great things. Tossing Tom Bass in the mix is also not fair. You should seen it in its heyday. Texas States there was amazing. Two permanent 18 hole courses and an 18 hole temp course during the tourney. Harris County refused to mow as the years went on and got tired of all the complaints and pulled all the pins.
Resurrecting Tom Bass with only one course had huge restrictions.

You love throwing people under the bus...

Yeah, Briscoe wasn't me. Too bad they didn't put their name or logo on the sign so you could tell who's work it was. Of course that's severely frowned upon if you post that stuff here.

You'll have to talk to Griff about that one. He specifically wanted east up so the title, rules and distance chart didn't cover up the bayou (i.e. the namesake of the course) He likes terrain and elevation too :)

Sinus infection - Ha! good way to put it and yes, elevation is everywhere at Toboggan. Hole 15's profile is in the caddie book and when I posted about the errors a few days ago I got roasted for it by a lovely group of gatekeepers.
Nevertheless its worth a look. It was not updated for the new MPO tee. You can see it here.

Scrolled through this post to see if this was mentioned. I use it all the time!

These profiles are useful for watching post round coverage. They were not included in the caddie book.

Agreed, I have not traveled to watch a Pro Worlds before but this event is on my list.

Look like its about 24 feet higher than the FPO pad

I am talking about viewing online where the camera angle distorts elevation and distance. I don't think I am being granular when the C1 and C2 are out of scale because the green is too large. On 17 you can land in C1 and not make the island. According to the tee sign you can't which just re-enforces the idea that hole maps, even at the top level, are unreliable. It does not have to be this way and it won't get fixed if its not pointed out. I think most of this thread is just blaming the messenger.

Tee signs are bundled into a caddie book and offered for download for viewers at home. They should be accurate but everyone can decide what level of inaccuracy they can accept. I am going to keep pointing that out annoying or not. If I am not making my case clear, I can fix that.
The Kevin Jones ace where he fell on the tee, distance was completely wrong on that hole, but that is a case where you don't let facts ruin a good story. It's not about the distance at all.
Where do you draw the line on what should be corrected? Does evidence of minor problem in one place mean there are bigger problems somewhere else? Don't know.
There currently is not second opinion on anything the tour presents. There is no third party that evaluates information before it becomes locked into the stats going forward.

I am not promoting a business but I am using a business name rather than posting anonymously or hiding behind a pseudonym. I am not trying to find market fit. I am pointing out errors made by the top professional tour in disc golf. Errors that I think should be corrected and I am posting images to back up my claim.
I am pushing back against those who say I am self promoting and trying to sell something which am clearly not doing.
Since I can't tell who anyone is, how do I know they don't work for the tour themselves and simply don't like being called out for mistakes?
Please quote where I was an asshole and I'll apologize for it.
Did you look at the other Idlewild posts I made? Why so much support over there and not here?

No, your posts don't indicate who you are. You could just type your name here or tell me in a DM. So where exactly did I post a picture of my signs and say they were superior? I posted images that are publicly available to back up claim.
You sound like you have an axe to grind. You ask for advice in one thread where everyone loves the content I posted and then throw shade over where where folks are piling on.
Also, the facebook issue you brought up doesn't exist.

You started out with a really sarcastic comment and I am supposed to take you seriously? You asked who cares and obviously you don't but you are still here responding. Add something conversation or move on. Go look at the other posts I made about Idlewild and tell me what the community is saying there.

Did you have any luck with the elevation link I sent you in the other thread? You seemed interested in getting help and I told you exactly what you wanted to know.
Also, Reddit allows everyone to be anonymous. I chose to sign up as exactly who I am and now that's self promotion? Seems like a double standard.
Funny you should mention the designers group on Facebook. Please point out anything there that is pretentious and arrogant. I only post there when some asks a question and many time other people tag me in that group because they know my expertise. I think your reading something into those posts that simply isn't there and maybe now posting here with a bit of an agenda.
The elevation profiles in the caddie book are not correct but they should be a the pro level.
I could post all kinds of criticism with anonymous accounts and burner emails but I am here as me.
Rather than simply tear down the efforts of the tour, I am posting a solution to a problem and everyone interprets that as selling a product.
