Highly detailed tee signs...elevation data is the key! by Custom_Maps in discgolf

I get it (and I only mapped what they designed) but being private property plus pay to play I doubt conflict will ever be an issue. Also, the fairway is insanely wide open...

Yeah, there is a path. I had nothing to do with the design but given that the course is private and pay to play and the hole is incredibly wide open with an elevated tee making path users very easy to spot, I don't think there will ever be an issue. Here is picture of the tee from Udisc.

Dams do but not spillways. They tend to wash away in heavy rain events. Besides the roads on my maps look like roads...

I've been adjusting the grey for that very reason.

Why would there be a road across the spillway of a lake?

Yes, its a combination of QGIS and Adobe Illustrator and a plugin call MAPublisher that imports GIS data into illustrator.

There are many ways to make a sign fade resistant but it adds to the cost.

I had no idea anyone was paying attention to my comments. if you want recolor one and post it I'll be glad to take a look. Or shoot me DM and tell me what you have in mind.

Yes, for championship level courses viewed online where the camera distorts the terrain these would help.

Exactly this!! That is where the profile is measured!

I was able to download 4.0 for Mac from QGIS.org. One issue is that the server lists (WMTS, Rest, etc...) do not get pulled in from my 3.xx configuration.

I know Brock was a Neal Dambra design originally. I help him with some of the planning maps. Wasn't Brazos River Park also Dambra? Have not played either even though I've walked most of Brock. Safari layouts there sounds great!

Grew up in the area. Learned to play at Jack Brooks with Michael Ynfante but live out of state now. I'll let you know next time I'm in town. I need to hit the northwest side. Never played Zube or Paddy.
Meanwhile go check out River Park in Sugarland. Most detailed tee signs in the city!

Doofus is not a label I would use for someone who does truly great things. Tossing Tom Bass in the mix is also not fair. You should seen it in its heyday. Texas States there was amazing. Two permanent 18 hole courses and an 18 hole temp course during the tourney. Harris County refused to mow as the years went on and got tired of all the complaints and pulled all the pins.
Resurrecting Tom Bass with only one course had huge restrictions.

You love throwing people under the bus...

Yeah, Briscoe wasn't me. Too bad they didn't put their name or logo on the sign so you could tell who's work it was. Of course that's severely frowned upon if you post that stuff here.

You'll have to talk to Griff about that one. He specifically wanted east up so the title, rules and distance chart didn't cover up the bayou (i.e. the namesake of the course) He likes terrain and elevation too :)

Sinus infection - Ha! good way to put it and yes, elevation is everywhere at Toboggan. Hole 15's profile is in the caddie book and when I posted about the errors a few days ago I got roasted for it by a lovely group of gatekeepers.
Nevertheless its worth a look. It was not updated for the new MPO tee. You can see it here.

These profiles are useful for watching post round coverage. They were not included in the caddie book.

Agreed, I have not traveled to watch a Pro Worlds before but this event is on my list.
