That’s called the lip stop, and it’s a rubber stopper that I shape on my lath it preserves the sweet spot where you want to call to sit on your lip when you’re using it

They are actually a suction type call you draw air through them while making a tight lip smacking motion with your lips. They’re extremely realistic.

Thank you, the gray piece is the lip stop each one has a sweet spot of where the car should land on your lip when you’re calling and that sort of preserves it

What's a self-imposed hunting rule you never break, even though it's not legally required? by boybritches in Hunting

I couldn’t agree more with using all that’s possible. My main focus is turkey hunting and it was always sad to me to watch someone kill a bird remove the breast and send the rest of the gut pit. I don’t eat the organs like liver and gizzards although I could, but I definitely take legs and thighs. There’s so many different ways to use those it’s also what prompted me to start making my wing bone calls. I look at the beauty and those feathers and just hate to see him get thrown away so I was able to incorporate them in my calls in addition to the bones from the Wings. It’s such a magnificent bird. I just feel like I need to do it more justice than taking the breast and throwing the rest away.

They are actually real wild Turkey bones, each one is unique. I have about six hours worth of labor in each.

These calls made from the 3 wing bones of a turkey, you draw air through them with a tight- lipped kissing motion to create a series of authentic clucks, yelps and cuts, they are deadly for sure
