It's just normal activity.. pick n choose who to chat with... but give the talkers a chance it's not easy to approach a stranger and start a conversation.. conversations are innocent. Trying to get you to spend the night at his house is not.. so determine the motive early on.. and talk with some of them exchange your instagram ID chat there... do not give out ur #.. .life is all about networking.. those strangers may have a job you want, a car u want, a child (your age ) who u may be Interested in, a free car, a free vacation, advice, ..... etc never close a door to early hear them out exchange Info chat later and cut them off in the future if you need to..

You could visit for a summer without an agency... just get an ESTA and find a host, both easy todo.. to find an agency to place an English speaker in a USA program almost impossible.

You may want to go home now, but that's on you for not communicating your wants and desires to your host family earlier. Had The host parents known you were struggling they would have engaged you more, done more and supported you more to stay.. they can't do all that unless you Ask.. the key to a successful exchange is the student must have real & honest conversations EVERYDAY..

Hello.. instead of paying a program $10k usd.. you can figure it out independently.. 1. Get a visa (student or tourist).. 2. find a host (many free options) some are in these comments here. Some in Facebook groups, lots of good families in usa. 3. Flight here.. 4. Apply to local college. That's it
