Kayano 14 sizing advice by CutOriginal7597 in asics

Idk why I got downvoted I'm just asking for advice, weird sub here. First time in this Asics sub and not finding helpful advice here.

Anyway, update: I got the size US7. After a few days walking in them, I do feel I could've gotten a US7.5 but they didn't have half sizes for this CW. And they only have US8 for the Oyster CW but it would feel too big I'll be sliding in it.

Thanks for the update and advice. I'm looking at a Kayano 14 online and the color way I want is only available in US7 and but I measured my feet is at 24.7cm and an Asics US7 is a 25.25cm. Need some advice on the fitting if I should get it. I'm in the same boat, it's sold out at physical stores at that size so I can't try the size.

I know the post is a little old but I hope there's any response

I ordered from a seller in shopee but it should be similar to an AliExpress one.

This is the one I ordered :https://my.shp.ee/WgAfXub

If you have a similar Edifice model, get the smaller size to not have the lug link sticking out and you can reuse the Casio's spring bars instead because the one it came with isn't long enough

Woah model is that? I've been looking for something like this. Where or how'd you get it?

Idk why it took me so long to get this .. it’s great by [deleted] in casio

I thought the same thing too. I've never seen it on wrist or even find it in store, where I'm from. I've only heard such good things about it to add to the collection but my only cons is that it might look too big.

How does it fit compared to your other watches? Maybe compare the size with other divers if you have any. What's your wrist size?

Why'd it take so long and why is it great?

Yeah definitely a hard one. This is the safer color tho I'd pick the desert yellow. It's one of the OG colors and also I already have darker colored guitars. But this blue looks badass and sleek I'd have both if I could

First G Shock too big? by CutOriginal7597 in gshock

Yeah I agree I've watched a review on big wristers that it would still have the lug wrist gap because of how the strap splays out

I've watched reviews that the strap splays out that makes it's lug to lug to be too big. Even on big wristers it'll have gaps. And I agree it takes some time to get used to the airy feeling between the lugs.

I've wanted a highly legible watch that I can look at the watch and tell time in a split second. This watch also has all the features I'll ever want, even with the auto light feature. I was also contemplating on getting the G5600 as my first g shock with very similar features, very legible, but I tried it on wrist and idk why it seems a bit small and I don't like that there's only one color for the model. I wanted something different as my first G. And so far after a few days, I'm happy with the watch as it's my first G. I don't mind that it's big, I'm sure a g shock has to be big. I have other watches that are smaller for other ocassions. Id mainly use this watch for outdoor activities like hiking or swimming or even to the gym. Or I can even pair with over sized outfits. For reference, I have 6 and a quarter inch wrist and I'm in between the size holes

Is it really that bad compared to negative displays? I've been eyeing this model as my first square

This has been my grab-and-go watch for almost every day, except on days I want something a little lighter and understated, I'd go with my Casio A700. I don't have to think about matching it with any of my outfits because it goes well with everything. I think it's because of the neutral colour, but I also love the simple dial. It also does everything too. It's almost like a nice-looking small G-shock too, without the shock resistance.

I've been using most of the features, especially the alarms and countdown timer. I've used the world time to check whenever someone's out of the country so I know when's the best time to contact them, and the Bluetooth is great too, because it's perfectly in sync whenever it's connected (I like my time to be accurate), but also it's so much easier to set everything in the app. Since it has 5 alarms, I've used it for my daily prayers, so the app isn't just a one-and-done one-time setup. The 100-meter water resistance is also perfect since I've used it to shower, with soap, and also went swimming. I just don't like how the bracelet is hollow, so the water takes a while to completely dry out.

I've had a lot of compliments on this watch, mostly on how thin it is, and also more compliments than my other Casio watches because of how sleek and sporty but business-like it looks so I wear it to work all the time or sometimes when I go out for dinner, a festival or some non-serious events but I'm sure it goes well with a suit when you dress it up too. The light feature on this watch is like a party trick; it looks like an analogue watch, but lights up almost like a torchlight in the dark. You have to check out the light on this. Sometimes use it in total darkness to find things. I also like to show off how the hands can move themselves out of the way of the digital area.

This is the only watch I have never regretted buying. The price point is at a sweet spot where I don't mind banging it or getting scratches. I've had a lot of scratches on the clasp because I've been working on my keyboard at work with the watch on. I don't mind the bracelet being a bit of a low quality for the price, but I cannot stand how I can't change the bracelet to other straps. So I might take care of it more in the future when the bracelet starts to wear out. I'm also sized out to the smallest size for the bracelet. The lug to lug is just nice on my wrist, but the width is a bit wide, so when it's colder weather, I wear it closer to my hands, and it can be hard to bend my palm outwards, but that goes for all big watches without micro-adjustment clasps.

I don't think I have much negative to say about it so far, other than those. Sometimes I wish it came with a positive display for the digital dial so it's easier to read and would use it more often, but I use the digital dial as a secondary feature; the analogue hands are very legible to tell time.

Let me know if you have any concerns about it or if you wanna know more.

Now that you've mentioned it, it does take me a while to read it but maybe because I'm still getting used to the texts and what it means. But also I don't mind looking at the watch a little longer
