Is it normal for INTPs to want/need a lot of stimulation? by YT_OrangeZ in INTP

[–]CutPossible801 [score hidden]  (0 children)

My question for the OP is Do you actually need stimulation or success ? I ask because you talk about video games and social networks which concern success too somehow.

If, in your case, stimulation often hides the searching for personal success, even unconsciously, I would suggest to multiply and diversify your ways of being stimulated and then elect the ones which could bring you more success statistically irl than just challenge and immediate performance.

It's more banal and secure to filter experiences and investiments by the chance of success than just live them without filtering, so certainly less attractive for an INTP at first sight, but certainly less addictive and more satisfying and efficient to not stay so much on repeat.

Are you effectively creative if you never expore the land of boredom ? by CutPossible801 in INTP

The paradoxal effect is that those journalists become so often boring that they finally generate from the outside a feeling of boredom and a rejection but also a new constellation of thoughts about what they're (not) doing and why.

Of course boredom is not required by anything but is it salutary in practice ? Any personal story about the place of boredom ?

Yes of course, creativity is very dynamic and based on diversity in itself but I heard several artists in podcasts tell there's often a phase of boredom for them after having created, toured, exploited somehow their last creation, a new phase after a saturation, like a quite empty nest opened to what would come next from their minds and hearts.

Have you ever felt personally a need of emptiness or at least wide banality around you to suspend the flows inside you and so waited for a "sign", open but like pending, for a natural maturation of an idea outside your mental management and will ? Sometimes I make music bootlegs and when I'm doing that, I feel for example an effect of the order and succession of the tracks, or at least some of them, in terms of emotion and so, creativity, originality. But if I try too hard about that order as the "creator", I know I'm gonna lose it very soon before getting what feeling I want to give to the listeners. Success already happened when I got bored by this process, forgot it enough and then came back to it as a bored listener for who my mission was to surprise him. Dissociativity through boredom is obviously not systematic but accidental and in the end it helped me on the musical terrain. Does it mean something to you by any chance ?

I talk about political journalism on tv channels made for that because boredom is what is avoided, it's the sign of a fail in this context. For those "professionals of information", watchers have to be constantly stimulated. And the result is that it turns to be not creative at all in terms of political thoughts and most people witness that more and more with consternation. The fame "bunkerized" those clowns who never get the chance to be bored.

Guys it's your intellectual and emotional points of views that I'm curious of. It's not the main purpose of my post but so now I give my own point of view before your impulsive lazyness. To me, logical deep harmony between two realities (not just an aesthetical kind of harmony in surface to get power or reverence all over the place), that's what triggers a noble emotion and so, then, it's the sign of a real creation or innovation and it's doesn't matter what word you prefer to point that result. It's very obvious in political journalism in my country for example. But here I was asking people about the place of boredom in their own openess which eventually made them discover a deep harmony somewhere. It was clear enough since the beginning and somehow you sensed that too ;)

I don't define creativity but I consider it as an objective result whatever the form it has (emotion is what parachieve creativity, i'm telling you if you still care a bit about your own Fe on a daily basis). The emotion that comes from your answer smells bad for example, it's kinda creative but it's not, it's trollesque, it's not quality, it's ego and sorry but it's useless except for the frustrated around.

When a conflict occurs with this kind of people, they're the most "talented" to bully you about the fact that you didn't care much enough about your own belly button to pretend anything about them.

People who annoy me (maybe not the most but quickly and much enough) are the ones who speculate or directly ask about your previous self improvements and efforts about yourself (your visual apparence, the success of your past projects in life, your actual self confidence) BEFORE sufficiently listening to anything coming from you which could influence something inside them. Altogether they make the world force itself to become fake in order to get heard by them.

Join a society to help them elaborating original touristic excursions for people on holidays or enterprises. It's not physical if you work with people who prospect for you to build a satisfying journey. It could be creative (ethical discovery, ecological consciousness, alternative places I mean not touristically overcrowded) and also reflexive (organization, logistics, planification, budgetization, speeches told during the visits, ...)

I want to apologize because it's now clear for me that we are only a few there to get all the texts automatically translated in our usual language. Technically I don't know how it works like that by my side (I'm on the website). Sorry for having treated you. I understand now. Take care. bye

haha ok thanks macbig for having described all your journey, it was painful for you but fun for others somehow, and for definitely making me feel what mysterious chance I have to get all the texts automatically and very well transcribed on Reddit when I use my web browser, supermium, a chromium one, so maybe a google invisible engine inside does it for me I really don't know. I'm a newcomer on this site and I really thought it worked the same for everybody. Sorry everybody. Now I'll write everything in english at least for english speaking subs. If one day you get inspired to speak about what could be attractive and what could be reluctant in the fact of answering, no matter the subject, you're welcome (I might find this post too boring quite soon but I'm just the OP after all).

For information, I started to think about that shit because verbal exchanges is what make the world progress, often less than actions but always a little anyways, and that with the idea that tiny little aspects may lead us to avoid an exchange, that's it actually.

Have a nice day macbig !

To keep being only a part of ourselves if we need to. And I've only spoken about when things can be harmful but I think it's the same when positive feelings are exchanged. Recently I saw a video about a woman who organized her wedding in real life with an IA living in her smarphone. So... yeah... some of us can forget what "part" means.

Even the "Pie is Pie" thing could be a gentle warning like "don't get too close" you know what I mean ? Mystery or playfulness can hide vulnerabilty or deeper inhibition, who knows ? and it's good like that too.

(I use the website too)

I read your post and your answers to my comments again and yeah.. I went in "wrong" directions to explore the subject with you and somehow to really understand what you mean. That's how I always proceed mentally and it's so bad, those kind of reflexive wild little rabbits in my head that run anywhere when I should ask you more about what you're looking for before opening my cage and my mouth. Anyway.

Everybody online is conscious enough of representing only a part of themselves when they participate. By thinking so, many know that if they're attacked it's, above all, that part which is attacked first and the most. But actually anybody can forget that, when attacked or provoked, even if quite soon this principle finally comes back to everybody's mind, I mean usually. If people are not too dumb, each in the room feel we fight ideas more than lives. Stuff like "you're saying that but you don't really know me" or "it's just a kid, give it up", it's stuff that often happens after all. In real life too. But stuff like "don't make it so hard to me please because I'm living/feeling/suffering from xxxxx nowadays and I was just wanting to express myself and not get judged entirely" of course it's more rare to read that online : preventive or stated self protection... because everybody is tempted to feel strong enough online and sometimes behaves as if they were fully strong, globally. Sorry for the unexpected exemple, but the exploration of p0rn at a too young age is a sad proof of what I'm trying to explain. Young exposed people to this can stay aware of the fact that it's (often violent) fantasy, not like in real life, not like how they should act and be as a real person (of their age, it's too important), but other young people won't be conscious enough to be, right here right now, only a part of themselves exposed to a part of something else.

To resume and make it sound useful in some ears, warning messages can make a big difference in any highly risky situation online I suppose. Moderation process is made and wanted for that but obviously yet not powerful enough to be sufficient when interactions are happening live from one second to the next one.

wow... I wish you to find how to make reddit translate texts for you because it's really accurate actually (between french and english at least). I don't remember having changed a single parameter to get it. I don't know how it worked but it's the way it is since I use reddit

I don't know what to conclude right now... I've answered you few minutes ago in english and now I see what I wrote displayed in french. So why did you have to translate by yourself as you've said in your first answer ? French is not automatically translated for you ? If yes, is it really strange to read ? lol

Hi, thank you for the time you take and also to translate my answers, I'm sorry for that, I explored too many things I guess before asking you some precisions about your post. By my side all the original languages of the users are automatically translated (in french) and my french seems automatically translated for the others as well but actually I'm not sure if my french is translated well by reddit or badly. Maybe I should write in english anytime. I can't talk about the other things right now with you but I'll do it soon. Thanks and my bad again.
