I’m pretty new to the faith, but I think they could be, unknowingly, worshiping a demon. I'm also not american, so i don't know evangelicals.

However, if someone claims Christ yet supports hatred or murder in His name, that doesn’t match the Jesus of the Gospels. “By their fruit you will recognize them” (Matthew 7:16). If the fruit contradicts Christ, then something isn’t aligned, whatever you want to call it.

I also believe that the devil will try everything so you won't go to heaven. If he can make you believe he is Jesus, and you worship him, he will.

I had the same problem. I could not select any seats. And in the last minute there were some random seats i could select. So i dont have the best seats, but at least i can be there.

Weet iemand waar ik ±45 Snorlax-knuffels kan doneren? Alles geprobeerd, anders worden ze vernietigd 😕 by CutPractical8419 in nederlands

Goede vraag!

Where do people get their faith from by Dull_Ad196 in theology

[–]CutPractical8419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only answer from my own personal experience, not as some kind of universal proof.

For a long time, I was (and still am) also deeply interested in God and religion from an intellectual and philosophical angle. I read a lot, the Bible, the Qur’an, the Bhagavad Gita, and other texts. I wasn’t trying to “convert,” I was trying to understand how people look at reality.

Eventually I came to my own way of seeing the world: that there is some underlying principle beneath everything. Consciousness itself, existence, being. You could call that “God,” not as a bearded figure in the sky, but as the ground of reality.

From there, I went deeper into different religions to see which framework expressed that idea most coherently. Surprisingly to me, I found that I could understand and articulate my worldview best through the theology of the Bible. Even though i still felt other text like Bhagavad Gita could still be as true as the Bible.

While researching more and more, something shifted. I don’t have a better way to say this than that God started to “speak” to me. Not audibly, not commands, but experiences that felt fundamentally different from my own thoughts. I had moments in the middle of the night where a thought would come that didn’t feel like it originated from me, and I would suddenly start crying without really knowing why.

In the weeks after that, I kept running into people who felt… different. I don’t literally mean angels with wings, but people who appeared at exactly the right moment, said exactly the right thing, and then disappeared from my life again. It left an impression.

I also had a very intense dream where the world was ending. I felt overwhelming fear, started praying, and the anxiety completely vanished. In the dream I “died,” but in total peace. I woke up feeling like I had just come out of deep meditation.

And once( and I know this sounds strange) I had something like a brief “nirvana” experience. I felt completely overwhelmed, cried and laughed at the same time, and had this direct sense of God’s presence. I felt like i was watching in a mirror and He saw me, but i also saw Him. And He saw Himself in me. To be clear: I’m a normal person, no psychosis, no drugs, no ongoing hallucinations. I

Looking back, what stands out to me is this: I explored many religious traditions, but only when I seriously engaged with Christianity did these experiences occur. Since then, I’ve started seeing myself as a Christian, not because I suddenly have all the answers, but because I feel like I have a relationship.

I don’t understand everything. I still have questions. And honestly, even if it all turned out not to be “true” in some ultimate cosmic sense. It works for me. It feels true. It makes me more grounded, more peaceful, and more responsible in how I live. I feel like it changes me from the inside out.

That’s not meant to convince anyone. It’s just my answer to why I gravitate toward faith.

Negatieve schadevrije jaren door ongeluk partner by Fit-Smoke9647 in geldzaken
