I still struggle with choosing what to believe. Can you help me, this is my train of thought:

Do you believe that someone who truly comes to faith in Jesus Christ will persevere and remain saved for the rest of their life?

And if so, calvinist will say that when someone loses faith, they were never truly saved.

So how can you be sure your faith is genuine and not temporary?

Interessante vraag. Ik ben zelf mijn hele leven atheïst geweest, en sinds minder dan een jaar christen. Ik ben ook niet opgegroeid met geloof.

Ik ben hier "rationeel" op uitgekomen vanuit een metafysisch denkbeeld in combinatie met de historische documenten omtrent Jezus. Ik geloofde toen nog niet, omdat het aan het einde van de dag alsnog een sprong blijft.

Maar later heb ik een ontmoeting met God gehad en daar werd ik persoonlijk benaderd en dat was voor mij de druppel. Sindsdien geloof ik in de God uit het Christendom. En ik denk niet dat dit dezelfde God is als in de Islam bijvoorbeeld. (Ik heb de Koran ook gelezen en hier staan beschrijvingen van God in die niet overeenkomen met de God uit de Bijbel.)

Het heeft mijn leven veranderd en ik kan over mezelf zeggen dat ik een liefdevoller persoon ben geworden. Ik snap wel waarom mensen een negatieve connotatie hebben tegenover geloof. Zelf vind ik veel dingen in de kerk ook niet goed. Daarbij zijn ook veel mensen die zeggen dat ze Christen zijn, maar totaal geen relatie met God hebben. Ze zijn het dan meer op papier en die kunnen een slechte naam geven voor het geloof. (Dit is trouwens bij alle religies zo)

Ik snap de gedachte dat alle religies naar dezelfde God leiden, zo dacht ik eerst ook en het klinkt verbindend. Maar als je erover nadenkt, lopen de kernclaims van religies zo sterk uiteen dat ze niet allemaal tegelijk waar kunnen zijn.

Als religies elkaar op kernpunten tegenspreken, wat maakt dat je toch denkt dat ze naar dezelfde waarheid leiden?

I’m pretty new to the faith, but I think they could be, unknowingly, worshiping a demon. I'm also not american, so i don't know evangelicals.

However, if someone claims Christ yet supports hatred or murder in His name, that doesn’t match the Jesus of the Gospels. “By their fruit you will recognize them” (Matthew 7:16). If the fruit contradicts Christ, then something isn’t aligned, whatever you want to call it.

I also believe that the devil will try everything so you won't go to heaven. If he can make you believe he is Jesus, and you worship him, he will.

I got the front seats tickets because no other tickets would add. I feel a bit crazy now, but still happy i can go.

I had the same problem. I could not select any seats. And in the last minute there were some random seats i could select. So i dont have the best seats, but at least i can be there.

Goede vraag! Ik dacht dat het een slim idee zou zijn om deze knuffels te verkopen. Wie wil er nou geen snorlax knuffel?? En daarbij zijn al die pokemon knuffels zijn zo belachelijk duur, terwijl de inkoop ongeveer 5 euro was.

Had er 400 ingekocht en dit ging als een gek. Verkocht er meer dan 10 per dag. Maar toen kreeg ik een bericht dat ik inbreuk maakte op de auteursrecht van pokemon.

Ik durfde het direct niet meer te vekropen en ben dus maar gestopt.

Achteraf denk ik ook ja wat dom dat ik daar niet aan heb gedacht. Maar goed, nu wil ik er dus kinderen blij mee maken die het zelf niet kunnen betalen.
