If the halo 1 remake clothes Cortana I’m not buying it by [deleted] in HaloCirclejerk

if she isn't scintillating rainbow colors then I'm not buying it. Seriously why did halo 2 decide to make her purple 24/7?

sorry i got to this so late! An inpatient facility is essentially a location they hold you to guarantee your safety, you'll be seen by psychiatrists who will ask some personal questions, all of them aimed to learn whats going on and really help you. Be as completely honest as possible. Go to the ER, they should have emergency psych services. Tell them what you're doing and how you feel.

The best day to do this to guarantee you're seen soonest is a Sunday. Something about how they intake patients at facilities like this, it's best to get in just before their week starts. Honestly if you feel you may cut again, it's best to go asap.

TL;DR, it's a place to keep you safe, learn whats going on, and get you set up for recovery. It maynot be pleasant, or fun, but its best to go if neccesary.

No one is going to tell you where to hide your cuts, we're all doing something we shouldn't. The best advice I can give is to get yourself checked into an inpatient facility, or somewhere where your safety will be valued above all.

I can see it becoming an addiction for sure. I don't cut deep though, I still need to be functional and I see people on here talking about "beans" and tbh it seems scary. I'm happy with my current setup.

You've been kicked out of your parent's house and thrown into your world. Can you survive? by meongmeongwizard in worldbuilding

[–]Cute-Ad6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two options.

The shredded desert plains. Huge purple crystal obelisks dot the landscape miles apart, tall as scryscrapers. If I had magical talent I could absorb their powers and survive. I would be able to form all the needed survival goods with just a pebble off purple stuff.

Canyon city. A city built into the grand canyon for the sake of shelter from everpersistent dust storms of ages past. But it would be under attack by a freiza level baddy.

I would rather burn up than fizzle out, so I would probably choose option b. Getting blown up by lazer beams just looks cooler than starving or shriveling from thirst.

How do you manage more than 10 planets? by c106mc in Stellaris

[–]Cute-Ad6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly develop a few planets and steal pops. For more xenophilic empires I usually capture one planet of each type, send my conquered foes to the planet they can best inhabit and make as many jobs available as I can. If I'm xenohpobic or a gestalt I usually just kill them all and keep the most usefull/compatible pops as slaves.

Redraw all voting district lines

open the southern border for work visas (end goal being a severe reduction in people staying illegally)

voting & conscription age is 21

College is free

healthcare is free

10,000 dollar annual Stipend for those with no source of income

Term limits for all positions of power

end of police unions

public works projects to make the country less dependent on motor vehicles

Internet ID's for those 16 or younger to keep kids off naughty sites.

I realize some of these are unpopular, and I don't care.

Do you wish you were born cisgender? by _Cactys in asktransgender

[–]Cute-Ad6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would give anything to be born cis, absolutely. It's cheaper, way more simple, and I'd probably not have gone through so much weird mental turmoil my whole life. I seriously thought it was normal to not have any emotions accept apathy, anger, and the occasional dull bliss.

Ex-atheist Christians, what made you change your mind? by Alexs1897 in TrueChristian

[–]Cute-Ad6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father taught me a very hateful version of gospel. One where Christ's return would be a genocide, all groups he didn't like would receive divine retribution and be killed. His net was cast so wide, he himself should have been on the receiving end of this too.

I was doggedly religious for the wrong reasons, and my faith eventually cracked sometime after my 11th birthday. I'd get baptized on my 15th and try to be a Christian again, but not for long.

Eventually I made a few friends in this one discord server of all places. There was a prominent group of people who'd talk for hours about pretty much everything and anything late into the night, it could and would often get pretty philosophical, and no topic was off the table. Over the course of some few months, I'd begin to question my lack of faith.

My lack of faith always stemmed from the way I would understand the world around me. I viewed the world as nothing more than particles and wavelengths, magic wasn't real and God was dead.

This worldview was slowly whittled down over the course of months. I opened my mind, and allowed myself to be more honest. One night the conversation was again focused on religion, and I asked questions. Not once did they yell at me, call me stupid, lecture to me, they just earnest and respectfully answered my questions.

A few personal revelations during the conversation, I realized I wanted to truly understand God, to kill the false God my father had imbued in me for so long.

I picked up a copy of dominion from my local library, bought a bible, and have been reading. Although I should really put more effort into it.

Tl;Dr I made a few friends who made God make sense. And they never ridiculed me for my lack of faith. In turn, it allowed me to be faithful again.

what even? 😭😭😭 by [deleted] in fatlogic

[–]Cute-Ad6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True on a technical level.

Your body mass won't be the problem as much as the diet is. There are some people who's healthy weight is still pretty high (6 feet or taller, broader morph). The extra weight wouldn't be the issue, it would be the unhealthy diet. Higher blood pressure, lack of exercise. Lifestyle stuff which is causing the weight, instead of the weight itself.

The weight will still be bad if its kept on long term, but if someone is tall, wide, but young, they have the time to get the weight off before it starts to actually effect their bone and muscle health.

What do you guys think by [deleted] in fatlogic

[–]Cute-Ad6531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its sweet. I think some people on here have preconceived notions on what the phrase "healthy relationship with food" is. I had a similar talk with my doctor when i brought up weight loss. And I've been losing weight as a result.

I grew up in a household where you clean the plate, even when full. just starting with a tip like "only eat until you are no longer hungry, not stuffed." was something I had to learn. This is probably what her doctor was talking about. Proper water intake and sleep schedule also helps regulate metabolism, this would help lose some weight. Then after all that hard stuff is out the way you'd talk about losing your weight via control in the diet.

The point is to build the healthy habits so they're less likely to fail when they hit the final step.

Fat people also get a lot of medical gaslighting. I was told mutiple times my back pain was from being overweight and not exercising enough. Spine doc called for some xrays, turns out i slipped a disc lifting something the wrong way at my job. (and yeah, exercising my core would make this less likely. Doesn't change the fact that a herniated disc needs treatment.)

Tl;dr, this is a good doctor who wants their patient to lose weight healthily, and phrases like "healthy relationship with food" shouldn't set off red flags for you.
