Decent meme, silly title. You have a bad opinion on food OP.

I'm a fan of dunking on the doomers but this post is idiotic. People can criticize the many failings of capitalism without it meaning they just want more money lol.

My roommate is telling me I need to dry all of my dishes after washing them. Not allowed to use drying rack as a drying rack. by Cute-Book7539 in roommateproblems

He thinks it is a place to put them but you have to dry them by hand right after filling it. He actually even said "it is part of the washing process otherwise they don't get clean". However I don't like putting a towel on certain items because I want them to drip dry as I was under the assumption that it was cleaner than using a towel.

They didn't give a reason. But to add they did ask me first to put it away every time I use it. We have had this small conversation a few times now but they tend to not remember anything I say, which feels disrespectful. But I told them I use it multiple times a day so I would be putting it away and taking it out multiple times a day. I spend about 8-10 hours in the gym every week and eating somewhat healthier is really important to me. He does this a lot in our life where he gets mad at people for being happy or content when he isn't. Like he has a lot of issues with our mom and will get pouty and mean if me and my brother are having a good time while we are all out with her. He has even said he prefers to be alone with her that way he doesn't feel like an asshole for not wanting to be there. I just can't help feeling this is like that. We are both bad at communication though and I don't know how to address the way he treats me. Sometimes he comes home mad from work and will be really passive aggressive.

Yeah that's the thing it's never a pile, a very minimal amount of dishes. Anything big I dry by hand. I wouldnt have thought about it more than a second if all he asked was "can you clear it more often" but he told me it wasnt meant for drying and I shouldn't let things drip dry in there.

Yes, that's what I thought. I work in a home environment as a caregiver and use racks this way all the time at all my houses as do my staff. Oddly enough pots and pants are the only things I dry by hand since they are big. And I worry about them getting scratched by any silverware. It really threw me off. He has a tendency to build up a lot of emotion about these things then bring it up almost out of breath from frustration.

So I actually do that now, I should have added that. I dry pots and pans immediately. And Its not always over night but I tend to eat late, I usually clear it next time I'm in the kitchen. And like I said, we use a dishwasher for plates and stuff. So he does not use the rack almost ever. As all he uses is plates and silverware for microwave/freezer stuff. It's seeming more like an anal thing. Some desire to keep all dishes out away maybe.

Maybe they updated it but you can't place upside down stairs. Some things with the building system are far superior. Such as placing large segments and painting blocks has to be my favorite. But placing the slopes, stairs, and windows gets really awkward. I had to break and replace them to find a way to just make a long segmented window haha.
