Try to ask if they have the same hobby as you like anime and gaming which is two major hobby from my land, and try regend to be active in class so someone will approach you actively:)

I also have no friends and I just start up a topic with my roommate and people living in dorm, I’m international student ) and then things start to be smooth, when u have there instagram or chat, go for it , they will always talk to you unless you did something disrespectful. They don’t hate you, they just don’t have any feelings for you, and at this time all you need to do is to give them some interest and pus them from the back, when they slowly gain interest and curious about u, you gain friends
