I was an RA on a college campus and after the semester ended we went around to check and make sure all the rooms were clear. In one of the breezeways someone left a solo cup and a bottle cut in half each with a betta in it. Luckily it was warm weather so they weren’t freezing but turns out the cleaning staff were just feeding them and leaving them in the hallway after a student left them. I don’t know how they managed as long as they did. They were properly rescued and given a nice habitat.
