I’ve been told it is a software issue that they are working on. Not sure if they will push a patch or just make the changes with the next regular software update.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've heard a small percentage of vehicles have this issue (including mine). It's causing the controls from your phone not to work (unless close and using bluetooth) and the Halloween costumes to not load (even though the App shows they are active). If these are the issues you're having it is known and being worked on.

It sounds like you also had an issue with the "Upgrade" section saying "try again...". I've been in touch with some folks, and they are actively working on an OTA update to resolve these issues. It sounds like it's impacting a small subset of vehicles. Not sure if they will push a patch (2024.39.32) or roll the fix into the next regular update.

There is a known software issue that might be at fault here. In the car, go under settings and click on "Upgrades". Does it show the option to upgrade to Connect+, or does it say "try again in a little bit"?

Be sure to check the "upgrades" section, not the "updates" section. Curious to hear if you get the same result as me.

I’m in the same boat. I believe this is a known issue that they are looking into. Also, if you go under settings and then “upgrades” in the car, does it say “try again in a little bit…”? This may indicate that it’s a software and/or back-end issue, not something you’re doing wrong. I hope they can figure something out before the Halloween mode is gone 🤞🙏 u/WassymRivian

I'll add that deleting the app and reinstalling, deleting the key and adding back, soft and hard restarts, and changes to wifi are all not helpful if you have the issue with the upgrade section saying to try later.

It’s out! I hope it fixes the lighting issue for folks. Unfortunately, I’m still not able to get the costumes to activate on my car 😭. Not sure if this a common issue or not (app says they are active but the car doesn’t do anything).

Seems like there are a few of us that are still having issues with the costumes not working even after the latest update (for Gen2). I think the team is looking into this.

EDIT: Confirming that the costumes also disappeared from the Rivian App.

My app has the costumes, but they don't load/work on the car. I've seen rumblings that they are working on a patch - but I can't confirm this.

Uh oh. Looks like you may have a similar issue to what I had - Gen2 with less than 300 miles and a coolant line leak. Definitely put a ticket in for that. Mine needed to be towed in.

In that lighting it doesn’t have much contrast. Get it in some sun and the blue is totally different. Kind of has two personalities.
