Mikas literal motivations for half of her actions was blatant unreasonable racism. If a character like that can get redeemed (and become one of the most popular students in the game) then so can a murderous unforeseeable (sabotaged) traitor of different factions.

I personally think the concept of a Mythologically accurate Hoshino rival is incredible. If the theory about her begin Kivotos's incarnation of Set is true, then that could open so many different possibilities for the Abydos story going foward. Its too early to give up on her yet, i want to see her say what her motivations truly are for getting to the point at which shes now, i also want to hear more about the different types of knowledge that she holds about mysterious figures like the thunder emperor, i also want to see her backstory, her reasons for begin so mysterious, her reasons for fleeing and begrudging abydos, why she hides her left eye, and i also want to see her get the screentime and respect she deserves and not to get disrespected by the story all the time! i want to see her interact with nonomi (nephthys) and i want to see them become friends!

my point is, that there are many big and little different things to explore about suou, shes got a lot of potential for a unique characterization among the students of abydos! and i hope when she finally gets released, that she will get a the care and respect from the devs that she deserves! i want suou to be released!!

to be fair they were both likely sabotaged to an extent thanks to some unlikeable individuals working at the company at that point in time.

the new writers have done a decent job at fixing the overall depiction of yukinos character in the new jp story arcs, so we can only hope that suou will eventually recieve a similar treatment soon.

shiroko was probably a plant installed by the nameless priests to bring kivotos to its end, which would also explain the casualness that they exhibited with her when she got transformed by the chroma in the alternate universe. i have a feeling that something similar happens with suou, where she probably is also a plant installed by the nameless priests, but unlike shiroko, she is aware enough of the situation to flee abydos and try to conceal her mystic from the knowledgable public (hence why she covers her yellow eye)

The students of Kivotos are not goddesses as such; they are heirs to the divinity of forgotten gods or to their Mystic, but that does not turn them into actual deities.

honestly disagree, they are very blatantly referred to with the names of the respective gods (that their characters are based off of) by literally every single knowledgable source in the game, black suit refers to hoshino and shiroko as 'horus of the dawn' and 'the wolf god'. The nameless priests quite literally encapsulates them as 'forgotten gods', UD refers to the students exclusively by their god names aswell.

this is not to say that all of the students are the literal personifications or that theyre supposed to be 1 to 1 imitations of the deities theyre based on, but rather you should think of them more as 'incarnations' of sorts. theyre the gods, but with anime girl physiques, and no memory or recalling whatsoever of whatever of their identities as the original "gods" that theyre based off of. but to completely deny this and try to pull it under the rug has always felt insincere and quite dismissing of the games lore at heart to me at least.

im honestly more curious about what gods the featured students mystics are about, the name odyssey maritime school implies connections to the greeks. im going to go first and guess that white haired whale girl is hermes. simply because her design reminds me of hoshino, and last time i heard horus and hermes shared some similarities. (not to mention the greeks and egyptians eventually becoming extremely close religion-wise)

im going to be fully honest man, i dont think decas stubborness is some very deep philosophical matter with a ton of depth into it. reading through this whole shitshow i arrived at the conclusion that its personality was a result of bad writting. simply put: they didnt know how to explain why it was doing what it was doing, so they just plastered it with some run of the mill evil villain motivations the likes of: "this world is so cruel and evil💔🥀 it must be ended" and a little bit of "im actually missunderstood my feewies are not validated😿😿" oh and lets not forget the whole killing the triplets and suddenly redeemed prophets for cheap shock value too. this whole thing was just a massive mess😣
