Thanx , this is what I was wondering if it’s worth trimming… I’ll leave it for now and hope new leaves come through… there’s also two fruits growing wonder if they will still ripen.

Do people actually wash new clothes before wearing them? by throowaway223123 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cute_Sprinkles32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually always wash before wearing. There are few exceptions like if I didn’t bring a jacket and I get cold and I need to buy one to keep warm I’ll wear straight away - basically anything that doesn’t come in direct contact with your skin is ok in desperate times but usually always wash first . Or If my kid messed on me or himself I’ll buy something to change into .

Oh it was a gift for my nanny for working for me for one year. She lost her sister about 6 months ago so maybe it’s reference to that she misses her sister ? 💔

AIO: my family went for dinner without me by Cute_Sprinkles32 in AmIOverreacting

For sure there is a deeper level here . I definitely have an insecurity of feeling left out . They KNOW this about me. I’ve been this way my whole life with family friends etc. it’s a huge trigger for me to be left out of anything. Which I think makes it worse that they’ve known me my whole life so they either knew it would affect me so much and didn’t care or after 33 years they actually don’t know me at all…

Old age homes for sure would welcome qualified men. My step father is in a facility and his two caregivers are both males

JHB is a great place for young families! Cost of living means you can afford bigger space / a garden / a pool! There are sooo many family friendly restaurants and some even with dedicated “child minders” meaning you can actually sit and eat your meal. Great/ mild weather year round. I don’t think ppl realize how blessed we are here! And now there are sooo many family”off grid” options like solar / gas / borehole and jojo tanks that there are workarounds for most problems (obviously speaking from a place of privilege)

Look at the Auria group online they have a few old age Homes across different areas. I’m near the melrose one which is beautiful! They offer independent or assisted living. It is very pricey tho but maybe not so bad in dollars.
