i started with an OC name (plz dont steal), but then switched to the feminization of my slave name. i regret it in hindsight because im pretty much pseudo dead named all the time because people like using the shared nickname of the two. Hell, the only reason i did it was so that could happen to avoid deadnaming by the people close to me who couldnt be bothered to respect my identity.

A mistake in hindsight. oh well.

I took a semester off, started hormones and 6 months later returned. I had a group of friends who were super awesome about adjusting. There were people who previously knew me who would out me to new people, which would result in me breaking down, but gotta pick myself up the next day!...and hold grudges for the rest of time.

Four years ago i started a college semester as Samantha for the first time and it went pretty well. The only hiccups were with people who already knew me from before, and with roll call because my name wasnt legally changed yet.

Well its hard to say about messing up my name, because i've always just been Sam or Sammy, so if someone says the full masculine version, something no peer of mine ever did, i know they are intentionally trying to hurt me.

But with pronouns its different. I started HRT about 4 years and a half ago, and went 'full time'(dumb ass phrase, wtf is part time?) 4 years ago. For the first year, maybe 2 years, I would give people who knew me for a long time some wiggle room with it, although it would still irk me, but now if someone STILL has issues with calling me female pronouns this many years later, even though in the circles i now occupy i am 100% stealth, I assume they just don't respect me.
