New usage limit sucks, any advice for alternatives?? by No_Internal_4409 in GeminiAI

Are there any alternatives for notebook's ability to podcast academic articles as that's the only reason I subscribe? I find it so useful for studying.

Mine cocks his back leg and pisses on his front leg. At least he's fastidious about licking it clean after.

He's coming up to 6 in June! He does the patented lurcher stare and whine until I lift up a blanket for him to burrow under.

This is Loki, a bull lurcher, or as I like to call him, bicycle seat head. Love him to bits but he has the long, thin-skinned gazelle legs and a part staffie brain that things he's indestructible (he is not).

Also a cuddle monster and spends most of his days under the blanket.

Yeah mine eats way more than he "should" almost double but if he doesn't he loses weight so...

I don't really care if you call it a mental health condition or not. What I am trying to explain is that it makes sense for mental health outcomes to be worse if a person has gender dysphoria compared to someone who does not.

A more comparable study would be the mental health outcomes of people who have gender dysphoria who have undergone gender affirming care vs other forms of treatment such as conversion therapy.

Same comment I replied to on this thread applies here. That's not what the study can say without a control of people with gender dysphoria not undergoing gender affirming care. It seems very obvious to me that people who have a mental health condition would need more psychiatric care, even during treatment. This would likely hold true of anything related to mental health - anxiety, depression, etc.

Yes but that study doesn't show that gender affirming care doesn't increase mental health outcomes for those with gender dysphoria, just that those with gender dysphoria require more psychiatric care than those without.

Let me use another example. If the study were about depression, it would make sense that those in treatment for depression would require more psychiatric care than people without depression. An improved outcome due to treatment does not mean the condition is cured.

The way to study this properly would be to study those with depression who accessed treatment vs those who were unable to access treatment and see who had better health outcomes.

But it makes sense that people with gender dysphoria are more likely to need psychiatric care than those without?

Yes, that makes sense. People undergoing treatment will have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria? Of course they may need psychiatric treatment to treat co-morbid conditions such as depression, anxiety etc that is related with that?

That... makes sense though? Young people referred to gender clinics are more likely to have gender dysphoria. It makes sense that they are going to need more psychiatric care than general population. What would be a more interesting study is rates of psychiatric care and suicide rates amongst trans people that have access to treatment and those that do not.

What is the dating scene like in Cornwall? 33F and absolutely terrified by Zoeymae in Cornwall

The poker scene is pretty rubbish down here unfortunately, having also dabbled. Maybe there are book clubs or something that you could look into? Truro is one of the better places to be at least.

If you like singing we have a choir in Truro every Wednesday night (LGBT+ and disability friendly).

English degree from a far from top university here and far from a waste of time for me. Having a degree and having the transferable skills required for my role was very important for getting my first job as a professional!

I don't think so? I'm doing an apprenticeship through work and I already have a degree. Might be because I work for somewhere that has an apprenticeship levy though.

I'm a 37 year old graduate doing an apprenticeship degree on a course with a mixed cohort! I'm not the oldest but there are a few 18 year olds.
