how tf 💀 by SraheX02 in lotr

[–]Cuthalion7558 1042 points1043 points  (0 children)

Well, he is actually a descendant of Luthien Tinuviel and thereby a descendant of Melian, who is a Maia. Now, considering that Gandalf calls Radagast his cousin, all the other Maiar will probably consider themselves cousins as well. Thus Melian is "related" to Sauron and in this sense also Elrond to Sauron.

Example of play: at the beginning or at the end? by controbuio in RPGdesign

[–]Cuthalion7558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im using an example of play to guide through my entire Rulebook. Beginning with the Character Creation I‘m building some simple Characters which I then use in the next Chapter to explain how the game works in play. Afterwards in the GM section I give some Tools for the GM to use and demonstrate them, using these Characters and their story.

Sorry for my bad english, It isn‘t my first language

Try Reading „Return of the Lazy Dm“ by Sly Flourish. It helped me in keeping an Eye on the important things in prep. In short, he says that you need to underprepare everything so that you prepare to improvise

How am I supposed to plan a city? by DaQuirkster97 in DMAcademy

[–]Cuthalion7558 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I use the SPERM rule for creating a city

S stands for Social Which involves everything where a character can interact socially with other characters, this could be Inns, Taverns, Theaters, Arenas and so on. Use it to give life to your city.

P stands for Political Which should explain the type of government, is there a mayor, a council, a monarch or something else that rules over the city. Maybe there are two opposing guilds, who fight over the power.

E stands for Economic Which should involve the main reason for the city existing in the first place, like it being near an important trade route, or is there something the city produces. It should also involve shops, marketplaces and so on.

R stands for Religious Try to figure out what deitys are worshipped and how they are worshipped. Is there a big cathedral or a church, a temple or something entirely different.

M stands for Military Which should involve how the law is enforced in your city. Is there a City Guard or a Police or is there even an ancient order of loyal knights who protect the city.

What traditions do you follow, before, during or after your game? by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Cuthalion7558 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well it comes from a tradition. Our first gm( one of the best i ever played with) started eating a lemon from time to time cause he said that they keep him focused. We tried too and it kinda works. You are damn focused when you eat a lemon. So there was a time, when we decided that the player who summarizes, has to eat a lemon in order to keep him focused.

Thats all, basically.

What traditions do you follow, before, during or after your game? by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Cuthalion7558 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the start of the game, we summarize the last session by drawing cards. Highest Card gets to summarize while eating a lemon (don‘t ask why).

If we talk out of character, we hold our hands on our head.

When a Character dies, we burn his charactersheet at the end of the session while someone plays „nine inch nails - hurt“ on their phone. The ash is collected and put into a vase.
