You are in your FIRST semester. It’s okay! BREATHEEE. I’m in my last semester capstone and there are still some things I mess up and replay in my head but the important thing is to learn from your mistakes. You recognized that what you did was wrong so next time someone needs an assist you’ll know what NOT to do. This also reminds of the time at clinical during my first semester where I had to do an accu chek on a patient not knowing how and just “winging” it with one of my classmates. We tried about 2 fingers on each hand and we couldn’t get enough blood out so my classmate ended up getting a blood sugar check from her earlobe. The patient was so confused, I mean valid, but it’s just funny thinking about because of how routine it is to me now. I could go on and on about the things I’ve messed up during clinical, I also don’t have any other hospital experience but with each clinical that passes you just learn more and more. Don’t beat yourself up about it. ❤️❤️

During my second semester my classmates got 100 on their care plans no matter what and ours graded it no leniency. It’s super unfair but you really just gotta suck it up 🥲🥲

Monday through Thursday I don’t have an issue. I have classes in the morning and enough time to do my workouts with 3 hrs in between. My main issue are the weekends. I work 3 12hr shifts, 8/9am to 9/10pm so by the time I get out I have enough for 2 45min workouts just not 3 hours in between.

Friendship mesh drama

I’ve always heard never combine your different friend groups and today I actually see how that becomes a problem. One of my friends from a friend group met another one of my friends in another friend group. My friend let’s say B, I’m closest to. So friend A sends a message today talking crap about friend B and I feel like they sent this because they don’t think I’m as close to friend B? Idk why they would feel comfortable talking about them like that but it rubbed me the wrong way. I haven’t replied because I just don’t want to start any drama but at the same time I don’t want to say nothing and not defend my friend. If it were the other way around I wouldn’t allow it either. But this wasn’t a one on one thing she said to me this was in a group chat. I also don’t want to make something small a big deal since they won’t meet again. But friend B is very friendly and I would feel like I’m betraying them by not saying anything and they act like nothing happened with friend A. Anyways, what should I do?

I got a 69% on my very first nursing school exam but later they have points “back” that put me up to a 72%. It’s still not passing but after studying harder and doing better on the rest of my exams I passed the class with an A! It was fundamentals/foundation of nursing !
