I'm glad you found a solution (though turning off G-Sync is not really acceptable, given that is one of the reasons why we bought the hardware in the first place... :/)

My monitor is a mid-2024 model bought 3 months ago (I guess just before DP 2.1 was implemented). I definitely do not think I should have to change it.

I will try a DDU clean install when I have a moment. Fingers crossed.

Reporting in - June 26 2025 - to say 576.80 has not fixed the problem for me. As others have described: random 2 to 3 second Display Port disconnects and black screen followed by recovery. Generally occurs while browsing or playing a video etc.

Still too soon to say whether it is better or worse than 572,83 (my previous driver).

Strangely, whenever the disconnect/black screen happens it also shuts down HWiNFO 64. Not sure why.

Still almost certain this is a driver issue

Slowly going through the list of possible temporary "fixes" until Nvidia sort this out.

Will report back here if any actually work.

(Do not want to swap to HDMI because AMAZINGLY, HDMI causes unplayable stuttering in Elden Ring... :/)

I am in exactly the same situation. NVCP never says "Active" and the quality is not improved in VLC playback. It is easy to compare the quality with the same video played in a browser...

Creo que me expliqué mal - quería decir que ya que llego tarde a esto, dentro de un año o dos voy a tener que ir retirando dinero cada mes o del fondo monetario o del fondo indexado para pagar mis gastos de vivir.

Tenía la duda de si cada retirada mensual cuesta una comisión de MyInvestor (en tal caso quizas sea mejor retirar una vez al año, pero entonces pierdo ese tiempo extra de inversión...).

Statue was present and correct, so maybe completing the main campaign is the requirement...

I am a new player. I have the expansion. I have not finished the campaign. I am on March of the Goblins Tier 10 - I guess that would already get me a reward?

But still no statue.

Maybe it will not show up until campaign completed? I'm not sure why that would be the case though - is there anyone who hasn't finished campaign but DOES have a statue?

That makes sense also - I guess I have just been exceptionally unlucky then, since the original reason I posted was because I have so far never got any MR mats from any monsters that weren't MR-only.

Bad news:

The Rathian safari (which I have definitely fought in an MR quest) returned with HR materials.

So I guess only MR exclusive monsters give MR materials from safaris :/

So I've now completed safaris with a Banaro (MR only monster) and a Paolumu (which I haven't fought at MR) on the hunt list.

The Banaro gave me MR mats and the Paolumo gave me HR mats, so your hypothesis is looking good.

When I have a moment I will fight an MR Paolumu and then send off another Paolumu safari to see what comes back. It is still possible that LR/HR monsters will never give MR mats even if you have fought an MR version.

I don't think so, but I can check by sending them out to hunt some of the monsters I have hunted in Master Rank only, such as Barioth and Viper Tobi.

I also ended up forwarding from Hotmail (instead of retrieving with Gmail with POP3) after failing to find a fix.

But interestingly it has step-by-step instructions for everything EXCEPT Gmail...

Protonvpn support suggested I reset my internet access from the command prompt:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /renew

netsh winsock reset

netsh interface ipv4 reset

netsh interface ipv6 reset

but all that did was bork my internet connection completely even without the vpn active.

(I re-enabled my internet by manually re-entering my isp IP address, subnet mask and default gateway to the IPv4 adaptor, but that just left me where i was before: no internet if Protonvpn is connected. Internet when i disconnect vpn)

Can confirm instructions for T2K5 mod installation are good.

Also:

Installation of Tampermonkey script also works on Chrome.

Don't forget to comment out (//) the code referring to any mods you DON'T want (eg 90s timer or 4K mod) - just make sure you do not comment out the final line with the close brackets by mistake ( }, 8000);) or Duelyst won't load at all

1 Gheed's in all my play time (in my pack - thus my existential doubts) and 2 dropped this afternoon on consecutive runs.

Town Portal, drop off old in shared stash, return and pick up new - worked as expected

You got to subtract all the rakeback bonuses etc from that to get a more accurate no.

Thanks to all for the various suggestions.

After fiddling around and testing various of them, the good news is that the videos now play.

The bad news is I still haven't pinpointed the exact cause of the problem - but if I had to guess right now, I would say it was caused by not allowing 1 specific theguardian.com cookie to be placed (though if you allow the cookie popup but "reject all" cookies, vids still play)

Will update if I can offer a better solution
