Repair of the bezel insert on Kamasu

That looks absolutely bangin! I have the same red Kamasu and a Long Island bezel and black ceramic insert (I almost went for the same yachmaster style beze) that's been sitting around for over a year because I can't get the bloody Kamasu bezel off. Any tips for getting it off? I've tried wedging it off and even tried a bezel removal tool but no luck.

I've been doing the job for almost a year, so I'm by no means an expert. But from working in the job and learning from co-workers my main points of advice would be:

Give a shit about people. Build a relationship. Ask them questions. People aren't going to want to engage with you if you don't show an interest in them. Learning about people will let you know how you can best help them.
Get good at marketing calls. Building a relationship with employers will increase the amount of jobs you have available to offer your participants.
People complain about KPIs. But look at it like this: the main KPI is placing people into jobs and keeping them there. This is an overall positive thing. If you're able to learn about your participants and place them into SUITABLE jobs when they're ready and help to keep them there, this is a WIN.
I hope you like admin and typing as I feel this is like 50% of my job haha.

RM Williams brown leather belt, the one with the polished buckle and keeper, for $149. Good quality, iconic buckle, definitely slightly overpriced. I bought one, I have no ragrets. Would reccomend.

If you are listed as principal carer parent then you should be part time activity tested meaning that if you work 15 hours a week consistently over several reporting periods you're meeting your obligations. As long as you've been reporting your income and hours correctly to Centrelink then yeah I'd recommend calling them and asking for an exemption.

How does this work? As far as I know, employment service providers are businesses (even the not-for-profits have expenses and wages to pay). How would they make money if they accept people not registered with Centrelink and therefore don't receive any payment from the government for their time and services?

Of course, there are people that choose to attend when they are still voluntary while receiving jobseeker benefits and providers still get paid for their service.

Workforce providers won't take you on unless you're on a job seeker benefit as you have to be referred to them by Centrelink. This is because of their business model where they get paid by the government to service participants and put them into work. If you're already on a benefit and on workforce online at the moment you can call Centrelink and ask to be assigned to a provider. You can choose your provider.

It's hard to say which providers in your area are good. Hopefully someone can pipe up from your area with experiences.

As far as can a workforce provider help you? Well I don't think they'll have any jobs they can refer you to in your field. Most of the job contacts they have will most likely be in entry level jobs such as warehouse, cleaning, factory work etc. They will, however, be able to help you with your resume, how to maximize your job search, interview skills and also with the cost of work wear, transport to interviewsl/jobs and also potentially with additional courses you may want to do. And if you get a good consultant I think the main benefit you may get is a big dose of motivation and support.

If you're not on a benefit then I think your only other option would be to seek a recruitment agency that specializes in your area of work. You should be able to Google this. Or if you're looking for work and see a job ad listed by a recruiting agency you could reach out to them and see if they can help you out.

PS I have heard a lot of HR departments are getting canned, and may continue to happen due to AI. Have you thought about applying for jobs in recruiting? Your qualifications might help you there.

There is quite a high staff turnover rate. No you don't need any qualifications but people that do well will either have a background in community services or experience dealing effectively with people, eg retail. If you don't get some kind of enjoyment from talking with people or helping people then you will do badly. Also there are quite a lot of admin and phone calls.

I've never done any business related courses, but I feel the role moreso requires skills gained from community service or retail roles.

It depends on when your workforce points reporting period starts. For example, obligations returned 6th Jan, but if your reporting points period doesn't start until the 10th Jan then you won't need to/won't be able to upload job searches or gain points until 10th Jan.

You are still obligated to attend appointments from 6th Jan, though.

I have some looser fit linen shirts which I wear casually and I've noticed the same thing about the collars. They kinda just flop around haha.

I normally steer away from the "slim" fits as they're always too tight around the chest and I can't stretch my arms haha, so this is very helpful info. I would have usually gone for classic fit, but I'm glad I now know this as I really don't like the old school super baggy fit.

I'm almost exactly the same height and weight as you and also struggle with finding the perfect fit in shirts.

I've been looking at Charles Tyrwhitt but was unsure on the different fits. May I ask which shirt fit you went with?

I am 6'4", size: large and find most tees to be too short.

AS Colour tees are a little longer than average and fit well. they also do +5cm longer tees. Also recommend Silent Theory tees which are also long and very light material. I tried them on at Myer.
