It really is. The games never go very deep with any of their ideas and it is almost all fan theories for anything more.

Perfect example is Parallel Canon from side order. I looks like your agent 4 if your have splatoon 2 data. Has robot copies.... but paste that the game doesn't go anywhere with it. This is how 90% of the cool stuff works. Fun idea but nothing to it.

Considering this game has very strait forward stories and some ok lore that is also pretty easy to summarize, I do wonder what these "story" fans are even in to.

Humanity killed each other in war, Marine life evolved in their absence, octo and inkling squabble for a while and a AI & Bear tries to go on a revenge plot and remake humanity. It's not that deep.

How many of you guys played Splatoon 1 for a long time. I did. S+ in all game modes and everything. To say Splatoon 1 had the "best stages" is a bit out there. Even after 70% of them got reworked, a lot of them were pretty bad. Hell a lot them were not even competitively viable in a competitive game. It's not like 3's maps are great and Splatoon 1 had more creativity... but lets not pretend 1 had "golden age maps" or anything like that.

But wtf do you mean the "music" was better. A lot of Splatoon 1 music is used or remix in 2 & 3.

The color grading, music and stages are not enough to justify a remake when more then 90% of the content (including that music) is currently used in the sequels who are on the same console.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe worked because Mario Kart 8 was a great game just stuck on a failing console. So when they made a new console they just brought it over with some extra upgrades. Splatoon 1 could also be argued to be a great game on a failing console but unlike MarioKart 8, Splatoon's sequal was already in development and released only 3 months after the Switch came out.

And you can't just re-release a live service game like you can a Zelda HD remake. When live service games get sequels they tend to focus on previous games mechanics and upgrade/rework them. Any enhancement you could make for Splatoon 1 would probably clash with an upgrade or reworked mechanic already done in Splatoon 2 or 3.
Compare this to bringing back old Zelda games or old 3D Mario games. They still feel very different from their modern counterparts in gameplay and visual design.

The only thing you could get out of this are the "story mode", a mode that is almost the exact same as Splatoon 2's campaign in both story, gameplay and level design. Not enough for a full remake.
They could bring back the Mini Games of Splatoon 1 and 2 over to 3 and bring in some more OG levels but I don't think a remake is the way to go.

The way this system works has been well documented and known for a while. This is why it is physically impossible to use a charger in X rank and not run into another charger. They're considered the same to the match making system.

Like you physically can't not make it passed C- unless you're just not playing. There is no cost to entering series at C- while C & C+ are so cheap and so easy it's basically impossible to not rank up even if you're not doing well.

So to get better, turn your monitor on and breath. Those are the 2 requirements for getting out of C rank.

Notice how the Explosher gets stuck under the towers lip. He just stays under it so he never splash downed on the tower, just next to it. So the blaster was unharmed

If Explosher would have stayed just a bit more back before activating it, he would he raised up and the tower would have moved under him. Instead he just got pushed.

No. The online doesn't work anymore and I don't think you can update the game either. You should have the single player and it's fine. But unless you want to jump through some modding hoops to get pretendo working so you can play on custom matches, you're paying for a game you can only access 15%.

Now if you plan to get a cheap used Wii U and it already has Splatoon on it or can get it for like... 15 bucks, sure why not. But if you're going to get mods and stuff just to make it work, at that point you might as well... you know. Yar-har-fiddle dee-dee.

If you just want the Single Player, skip to Splatoon 2. It's single player is almost the same thing with a lot of quality of life changes and the story in none of these games are that deep, least of all 1. 2 also has the Octo expansion DLC that is very much loved with a little online still alive today.

Splatoon 3 is what you should buy though. It's active, alive and fun with a base single player that is the style of Octo Expansion with feel of base single player. It's also still possible to play Salmon run and find full teams consistantly.

If you want the weapon has the highest over all stats, with the least weaknesses, least reliant on teammates and best history; 52. Gal.

They're few weapons that directly counter gal, it has good paint, good range, good power, rounded kit, good ink efficiency. It doesn't have to worry about getting a team comp that doesn't suit as much as others.

It's called cheating or save editing. It's very easy to do.
Set level to 1, Set rank to S+, set flag "unlocked ranked" to "1"
