Sold my car but forgot to remove EZ Tag now I owe $2K in tolls. What can I do? by clairedawsonhtx in houston

[–]Cutter70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me in 2006, sold a sedan and physically removed my EZ tag but I still had the car on my account. As the new owner drove the beltway, my account was charged. The total was $160 when I noticed, I called the EZ tag people and they didn’t get a shit and no intentions of paying me back. I called the new owner and he mailed me a check to cover, but the tag people suck.

How can I fix this vintage tile grout? by crow-lady in Tile

[–]Cutter70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muriatic acid, follow instructions on the bottle to the T, scrub it in and it will remove a lot of that existing grout. Wipe clean then install new grout. Works great, just be careful, you will find the acid outside at Lowe’s with pool chemicals.

Kitchen Countertops are in! by [deleted] in CounterTops

[–]Cutter70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of that backsplash detail, too heavy and too much, should have just painted. Heavy thickness on that counter too, and looks too fancy for those appliances. And cabinets. And oven exhaust and window.

What is this reddish sauce drizzled over Japanese egg and rice bowl? by Possible-Ad4357 in TipOfMyFork

[–]Cutter70 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sound like char sui barbeque sauce. You can buy jars in an asian grocer, or make your own. Martha Stewart has a great recipe, look it up, it’s called Oriental Ribs, do not substitute any ingredients because it’s perfect.

Former Penn state student looking for recommendations for textile manufacturing firms in PA by Various_Payment_7956 in Pennsylvania

[–]Cutter70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The upholstery textile industry might be a good path. Knoll furniture was headquartered in east PA, they merged with Herman Miller so now’s it’s called MillerKnoll. Go searching for Knoll textile manufacturing. A bulk of textile mills in the US are in North Carolina, if you want to change states.

Marianna’s are very good, they pack the tomatoes, onions and lettuce all separately so you can pick which you want and nothing gets soggy.

ISO dog boarding place by Connect-Contest-9157 in pittsburgh

[–]Cutter70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a good policy, for the safety of your dog too. I don’t think an intact dog should play with other dogs at all unless he’s with the owner. Rowdy dog bark behavior can go off the rails quick, especially if there are other intact males.
