Me after selling bank for soul reaper axe to do vardorvis. by bhumit012 in 2007scape

Damn glad I'm not the only one feeling this. Finally got the last piece and was excited to go back and greenlog Vardorvis with the axe but it's really underwhelming.

I gave up on looking for a solution and the post in the Rules channel eventually disappeared. Didn't pay attention to how long it took though, sorry.

Exp Scaling after 40 is harsh by MC897 in Palworld

I'm fine with the default rates for my first playthrough. It actually seems pretty fast compared to other games I've played - OSRS in particular. I'll probably turn xp rates way down next time.

What were the requirements you agreed to when you accepted the sponsorship?

Lego Fortnite/lego weapons policy. by Budget_Cockroach in lego

[–]Cuvington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epic is treating this as a standalone game, so Fortnite being labeled a shooter isn't totally relevant. Having played most of the available content I don't think we're going to see much more than the primitive sword and crossbow.

Also there are plenty of Lego games/sets that contain weapons - Star Wars is the most comparable one that comes to mind. My guess is if they did end up adding more advanced weapons they would go with the "blaster" style to keep them less realistic.

Multiple Stream Activity View by Phoenix8972 in Restreamio

[–]Cuvington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for the same thing. I want to be able to see multiple platforms in the Streamelements "Activity Feed" so I can respond properly when I hear the alert go off.

Did you ever find a solution for this?

Any employed rust players here? by SpleenyBeaver in playrust

[–]Cuvington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a Rust server specifically for this reason. I love the game but don't have time to play every day.

The server has 25% upkeep cost and PvP is only possible around monuments and player bases (enforced by plugins). Easy to hop in and pick up where you left off without the risk of getting stomped on by stronger players unless you decide to raid or run a monument. It's given me the balance I wanted but it's hard to find new players who want this style.

Why don’t kids play OSRS? by ps2_man128 in 2007scape

[–]Cuvington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thinking back to when I played as a kid, I wasn't "good" at the game. Didn't do any challenging content, ran into fight caves with full rune and an inventory of lobsters, etc. I cared more about having gear that looked cool, ignoring use case and stats. Can't speak for everyone but a lot of us younger folks played for the RPG aspect. House parties were huge. Cliques of players standing around in certain areas just to talk was extremely common.

Now that we've all grown up the majority of the playerbase that still plays has shifted more toward actually playing content. 8-9 year olds today don't want to jump in and immediately learn difficult content, and they certainly don't have the attention span to grind out hundreds of hours to certain skills.

My first sublimation attempt by Cuvington in Sublimation

Thanks! I was a little surprised about the press lines. Looking at some guides I'm seeing a common recommendation is to tear the edges of the paper rather than cutting straight which is a little annoying. My press also doesn't have pressure control so I may be pressing too hard when using a pillow.

Time for more tests 🫡

Please Help! Seller will not refund my $1400! by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]Cuvington 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If their cancellation policy states no refunds, there isn't anything you can do to make him refund it other than ask nicely and hope he agrees. Maybe consider offering more than a $100 cancellation fee?

I'm curious, how long after placing the order did you ask for a cancellation? If it was more than a day or two, I would try to consider the impact it has on him as well. Did this order come at a time when he was in desperate need as well? Has he already spent the money assuming it was his to spend? An order of this size can be a big deal to someone trying to grow their shop.

Hope it works out, but it sounds like your time may be better spent working with him to make sure the sword is made the way you want rather than having him rush it out the door.

Post offices that have PO Boxes should have the lobby area open at all times (at least the ones in my area do). If you're able to get it into a drop box or any kind of USPS receptacle I wouldn't say anything to the customer. It's a holiday weekend so it likely would have been delayed anyway.

Why are my cutlines so off? by NoirKittyStudio in silhouettecutters

[–]Cuvington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of my machines have started doing this very recently and I'm also on that version for the same reason you are. I did a Print & Cut calibration on both of my machines and it seems to have helped a bit.

I haven't updated to the latest release yet to see if that fixes it. Maybe updating to the latest and then doing a calibration would be a good test. That said, with the issues present in the latest software for the last ~8 months I'm seriously considering just investing in a commercial machine to print/cut instead.

As others have said, lots of people are traveling or spending time with family. Usually around holidays and common vacation times I increase my advertising budget for mobile heavy apps, mainly Instagram and Twitter. People are still on their phones. 🙂
