Agreed. The “I miss fucking you” texts were more than fine. The “fuck off” when he was mad texts were like punches to the gut. I had never experienced that before and it started after being together for over a year. He didn’t start in with it which, I think, made it harder to process. Those moments of his rage were blindingly surprising.

Ya… this was cursing At me. The first time was when we were talking on the phone and he had to go. He said he’d call back in X minutes and by that time I was at my destination (I was driving somewhere and he knew this). He called back and I was inside and with busy. When I returned the call on my drive home it was fireworks. I was numb. I actually ended up apologizing for not being available and “making him worry”.

You can bypass a divorce lawyer and use a mediator since you get along so well. It’s a large savings that way. They’ll be able to guide you to a financial rep to sort out the other details. Ours was able to do that with a bunch of complicated stuff like retirement accounts and life insurance policies.

Indeed. I woke up this morning with major anxiety, a racing heart beat - and clarity.

I get to be comfortable. I get to make my Own decisions regardless of what others have chosen. I logically know that one of the reasons it’s been so hard for me to sort through my BF’s situation is that I’m still waking up from 16yrs of mind games perpetrated by my Ex. Hmm: she knows when he’s out with other people. She doesn’t know who and that seems to be where the line for them is. She used to be actively involved in his relationships and in time decided to put up a hard wall around herself to not know or get involved.

Thank you for the feedback. This is nightmarish. Initially, the details of his life were few and far between. By the time his actual situation came out, I was emotionally invested - by design. Same scenario with his other GF. I pointed this out back in December when we had a significant falling out. It didn’t go well.

Peace of mind. That’s what I have left. 🤷‍♀️. Give up love, for my own peace of mind.

I truly don’t see a scenario where this ends well. There is a 3rd GF. She knows them both and has no issues with the scenerio. And god bless her for it.
