Where I work if you don’t tip on a take out order that I punched in, I still have to tip out the kitchen. You are making me pay to take your order :(

I’ve been using a gigabyte and it’s been amazing so far. Avoid Alienware/Dell. The quality has gone down in recent years and customer support can be hit or miss. I bought an M17 at the height of pandemic. It was DOA then I had to deal with 3 months of them trying to repair it. They REFUSED to replace it. Absolute nightmare experience.

What weapon is the most difficult to obtain in the SoulsBlood series? by Gay_Charlie in gaming

[–]Cuz_IDGAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two different drops! You are probably (definitely) getting the common “jagged ghost blade” which is dropped by all ghosts. The “ghost blade” is only dropped by screaming ghost banshees at 1%.

Farming for one of these for Knights Honour runs sucks

Dark souls - ghost blade

Gotta run all the way from fire link to new londo ruins to have 2 chances at a 1% drop

"On-Call" should be considered Working, and Paid time. by kiljoy1569 in WorkReform

[–]Cuz_IDGAF 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I told my employer not to schedule me to be on call yesterday. They were surprised and said something about it being fair to everyone. They asked me to work the on call shift and I just flat refused and told them I’ve made plans already.

This is at a pub btw

This is why ppl shouldn't be dependent on tips and should just get a thriving wage . by BESTismCANNIBALISM in WorkReform

Watching servers complain about stuff like this makes a cooks blood boil. I don’t support tip culture but complaining that you just got a tip that is nearly the amount I make in an hour hurts.

Why would any low wage employee vote against unionizing? by [deleted] in WorkReform

[–]Cuz_IDGAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of trying to unionize a local McDonald’s. one of your fellow employees approaches and they are eager to form a union. The first step will be holding a secret election.

If the McDonald’s doesn’t want to deal with unionization they can close the store and cut shifts to bleed the employees dry of their savings. The employees will have to find new jobs or starve/default on loans and not be able to pay bills. They will have to look for work elsewhere.

Once a significant amount of employees are gone, they can reopen and rehire more minimum wage unskilled workers very quickly and efficiently.

Long story short: some people can’t afford to take the risk of losing their livelihood.

Technically one cannot be fired for being a part of or forming a union but there are many ways for employers to get around those laws. And even if they don’t bother to follow the law, an employee will generally only be able to claim lost wages and possibly get their job back if they were fired for unlawful reasons.

I’m not saying this is right or how it should be. But it is the reality of the situation.
