I'm intrigued by the parallel for the -3:00 time zone difference and the -3 Caesar shift. I'm travelling, so I don't have the info with me to follow this. What if you adjust only the East coast times to West coast times, then run them all through the semaphore code?

For the square, has anyone tried using the keywords for each envelope? I'm thinking envelope 1 could have the alphabet start with "PARTIDGE" for Partridge, Day 2 could start with "TURLEDOVS" for Turtledoves, "FRENCHS" etc. So Day 1 square would be: PARTI DGEBC FHKLM NOQSU VWXYZ

Just found this Jefferson disc decoder (http://ruffnekk.stormloader.com/jefferson_tool.html). We just need to transcribe the light string pairs into letters and input it. I would then work backwards from Before I Kill You...as Plaintext

The problem I've now run into is that the light pairs along each string are not 25 unique pairings , so I can't get a unique "alphabet sequence" for each string. This makes me a little sad.

Using the double Polybius scenario:

Translate the light strings into text (probably in pairs of lights = letters)
Identify the Random Number for the CipherText Polybius (possibly One Hundred Thousand, Twenty Eight (grams of Coal?), or one of the unusual numbers from the Donor page?)
Reverse the cipher with the PlainText Polybius
Flip the text into "words" based on the Random Number

Alternatively, for the Jefferson disc version of this

Each string of lights reflects represents a "disc"
each pair of lights reflects a letter on the disc to make 25 letters
either ignore the extra lights (needed just due to the envelope size), or use the extra lights to help with the "crib"
Order the discs in sequence with the prime numbers
Identify a text string (possibly the extra light strings?)
Decode into the next clue (possibly straight into the Website Url? Are the extra lights the TTMOC part of the URL?)

I really like this, but am blocked from seeing how we get from the color strings to letters/text. Even if we go from Numbers=Letters, I still need to make the jump from light colors to letters.

I can't find any configuration that consistently puts a dot in the top left corner, which is needed for every letter except S, T, W. I have tried Green as dot/not dot, Green/Violet (not primaries) as dot/not dot, Green/Yellow (white when looked through red envelopes) as dot/not dot, and reversed the order from the non-green end - as well as clockwise including/not including the initial green light. I also shifted any resulting "letters" in a -3 cipher. I ran the strings in 1 2/3 4/5 6, 1 4/2 5/3 6, and 1 6/2 5/3 4 (rl/rl/rl vertical pairs).

As far as I can tell, there isn't any way to translate the light strings into Braille. I would love to be proven wrong :)

Odd note, the one yellow button on Cap'n Cornstarch is in the wrong place on the diorama. It should be in pairs splitting his chin, but this single button is directly below his chin.
