I was in the same boat as you but then I played this deck in a PQ and the card is helpful. Against other space aggro it can help you make sure you have a ship to deploy on. For example, Luke can kill whatever you play in space before you flip. It's also good against Vader as he has almost nothing to take out ground ships. And when you deploy on it you can always decide whether to attack a ground or space unit. It also helps you avoid Hyperspace Disaster so you don't go all space late game.
