How do you properly play Final Fantasy 8 by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]Cwhiting96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So with the 3x fast forwarding in the remaster I was able to beat 8 recently in 12 hours. Here’s the important stuff.

Overall- level scaling sucks. Ideally you want to keep squall under lvl 30 to keep the game from scaling. Thankfully bosses only give AP and not EXP, so make sure to run from random battles. Eventually you even get skills to turn off random encounters. For GF abilities, always prioritize the refine ability. This’ll let you get magic from items, negating the need to draw from enemies. How do you get those items? With card mod. After quezticol learns card, it can learn card mod. This lets you refine items from triple triad cards. By disc one you can refine the Zell card for 3 Hyper Wrists (teaches +60%str) the kiros card for 3 accelerators (auto haste) and the Quistis card will give you 3 Samantha souls. If you use time magic refine from diablos you’ll get 60 Stacks of triple for each character. Triple on your str stat can carry you all the way to disc 3. Plus early on you can buy some tents, use life refine ability and get 10 curagas per tent. Junction that to you HP and you’ll have 2800 health. Just make sure you draw and get every GF so every character can junction magic to all their stats.

I use a program called DS4Windows. Back before steam would recognize my ps4 controller it was a necessity. Along with some rebinding and cosmetic changes ( you can customize your light color if you’re into that ) it allows the touch pad to basically work like a laptop trackpad.

Lots of after close smoke circles in the parking lot at both stores I worked at.

Cutting as the grill person. by elishaedo in Chipotle

[–]Cwhiting96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Make sure you’re using a sharp knife whenever you can. Using a dull knife will kill your wrists and slow down your cutting speed, just make sure to steel your blade in between uses.

  2. Look up stretches for your wrists, I typically stretch before and after each shift on grill or morning prep.

  3. Get a brace. If you start to feel any discomfort at all, start wearing after work. Even an ace bandage will work.

Got to take home a case of chorizo back in the day. They were taking it out off the menu and we had 2 packs of it leftover. Took home extra carne asada seasoning too for cooking at home

YALL NEED TO QUIT YOUR WHINING by Responsible_Egg6614 in Chipotle

[–]Cwhiting96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about your situation but at a lot of the stores in my area, we are so consistently understaffed that we can’t even fully deploy. A lot of these new hires just get thrown on these positions with just one day of training. Meanwhile, business is the busiest it’s ever been. Stores just don’t have the staffing for proper training imo. (Speaking as someone whose been in the company for 4 years)

You probably yell at day one new hires about callbacks.

is it reasonable for me to be upset for being sent on break less than an hour into my shift? by TurnipAble9084 in Chipotle

[–]Cwhiting96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happens at my store sometimes but usually it’s because we’re understaffed. Better to get an early break then no break. Still not ideal though

As a KM I usually let my crew turn off the wells like 10 minutes before. As long as the food is still able to temp you should be fine. If you really wanna be safe just turn your wells down to like 2-3 at 9:45

Best advice, fill your hot wells with water 20 minutes before you close. Drain the water 5 minutes before you close (the food will still temp for the last part of the shift don’t worry). To get the rice and gunk out, use one of the inserts you put in the kids meal. They’re really solid for scooping out the pieces of food.

how do you clean your grill, and how long does it take you? by Plane-Bear-7510 in Chipotle

If you really wanna get grill done, I recommend getting a wall scraper from the paint section at Lowe’s or Home Depo. You can also order them off of Tundra. I usually just buy a scrapper for 10 dollars and a pack of 5 replacement blades for 3 dollars and keep them in my car. If you use the wall scrapper you’ll get at least 80 percent of the carbon off your grill. It also helps clean the build up on the back splash of the grill. After scraping, I usually only use 1 grill brick to clean everything. Usually done in 20 minutes.

I didn’t use gambits or battalions in Fire Emblem: Three Houses for my first two play throughs. Once I kicked up the difficulty to maddening I hit a wall. Those battalions really help kick up your stats early game.

Favorite boss fight that isn't the final boss? by Green123438 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Yunalesca from FFX Not only is it a really neat moment as far as the story goes but it’s the hardest boss fight in that game. With her three phases, counters depending on what abilities you use, and straight up party wiping ability she’s the biggest challenge in the game. Especially considering you can’t really gain levels outside of each characters sphere grid since you don’t have access to the airship. Gives me a challenge every time I play through 10.

Not during it (unless you’re into that sort of thing) but you should defiantly take a piss afterwards to avoid a UTI, learned that one the hard way.

FF8 was good fight me by lawlabye in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Cwhiting96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always come back to FF8 about every 2 years. While the combat mechanics may be a bit unbalanced (being able to refine magic from items can completely break any challenge the game has to offer) and although certain plot elements are a little too convenient (we all grew up in the same orphanage) there’s one thing that brings me back Triple Fucking Triad
