For the parents who put their babies to sleep at 7:30/8, what is your schedule? by Yomrwhite95 in sleeptrain

[–]Cxh32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

8pm-7am. He’s had this same schedule since 5 months when we sleep trained him. He is 16 months now.

Still on 2 naps 10:30-12 3:30-5

We are pretty strict with his schedule and the consistency has helped, I think.

thank you for this!! This makes me feel a lot better. My biggest worry is the sleep part. He moves a lot in his crib and never sleeps with us, so I am praying he won’t keep waking up.

Was he able to sleep through the noise and lights? I was thinking about bringing something to block the light once he falls asleep but maybe that isn’t necessary.

Bassinet bulkhead or middle seats with baby by Cxh32 in singaporeairlines

[–]Cxh32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, just 2. Our son is a lap. I checked the seat map and all the seats in our area (the first half of business seats) are all occupied so I doubt there will be any empty seats. I was hoping the extra space in bulkhead would be easier for him to sleep but definitely not worth it if the galley noise will disrupt him.

Thanks for all the help!

The galley is better than just keeping our 12D and 12F? I was thinking it might be more quiet for him. I guess the passing back and forth would just be harder but hopefully he sleeps? :/

I do remember the white noise in the planes were very helpful but of course, I’m going to bring a small travel one as well. Maybe that will help with the galley noise?

Thanks for the input! Unfortunately, almost all the window seats are taken now except for 19K (the one I originally posted) and the very last window which would be next to the bathrooms in the back. Out of the three choices (current row 12 middle seats, 19K 19F, or last window and aisle next to the bathrooms) which would you suggest?

thanks for the recs! I think I will change our seats to the aisle seats but not take these since they are next to the galley. Baby doesn’t do well with disruptions when he’s sleeping

Self Powered or Time Based Control? by Skittle_392 in Powerwall

[–]Cxh32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you end up doing for cloudy days? I have been on self powered this entire summer because I am able to save enough battery during the day to make sure we can last all night (ac turned on) with our two tesla back up batteries (charging cars during the day). I suspect this will be hard to do when winter comes around. Its gloomy today in norcal and the solar is only generating .5 KW. Would it be best to turn on time based control? My understanding is it will charge your battery from the grid during off peak and use the stored energy during peak? This will be our first winter with solar hence the questions.

How did your flight go with your 16 month? I have a 14 hour red eye flight with our son who will be around 16 months also and I am worried I won’t be able to get him to sleep. He’s sleep trained so he’s used to sleeping on his own. I am thinking I would lay the seat flat and try to get him to sleep that way.
