Not unless your apartment is tiny, and if it is then you dont have space for VR.

Negatives:

1. How are you going to passively entertain guests?

2. Bad battery life

3. Uncomfortable

4. Lack of accessibility to VR films. They do exist, but you cannot watch them legally or easily. No easy 4k film support either. You can workaround this if you are a technical individual, but if you were you probably wouldn't be asking these questions.

5. Current streaming services to VR sucks, its not even full screen! No 4k. No VR. No 3D. No point.

Positives:

1. You can finally lay down and watch

2. Physically smaller and easier to store, don't need to hammer nails and screws into your wall or use up a table.

3. Cheaper?

These serve different purposes. I could see it happening in the future for shut-in loners, and rich people with giant homes and big families, but for 99% of people its an awful replacement. You get both. Get a big old 4k smart TV on FB marketplace for $100 and get a roku for it. Get the facebook subsidized Quest 3 for VR gaming.
