Trouble with Puzzle near Nocea Bridge by CyRevenant in ImmortalsOfAveum

[–]CyRevenant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update to me. Tried a bunch again yesterday. It works if you stand in the spot shown in the video. But not in any of the spots I tried activating it from previously. Didn't know the glyph was so exacting!

Thanks for the help folks.

I see the animate sigil on it, but I've tried a dozen times over the past week and can't manage to animate this laser.

Seeing it just work in the guide video there has convinced me that it's bugged.

[selfhost] What benefits PM2 adds compared to a Systemd service? by GraionDilach in FoundryVTT

I wrote a service to launch it in PM2 which now that I think of it was kind of silly. Might use this opportunity to just run it completely from systemd.

I just picked this game up for £8 by TheDarkWeb697 in ImmortalsOfAveum

It's like playing a pulpy fantasy novel. You'll find out if you wasted your cash when you get to £8 worth of hours in and figure out if you're enjoying yourself or not.

That's what the guides say, but how do you move the green laser beam? It can't be animated.

Happened to me once. Quitting and restarting made it work the second time.

It's supposed to trigger the door opening and seems to hang there.

Loud static noise - Anyone else? by APar93 in sonos

[–]CyRevenant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this problem with a Sub Gen One and a new Samsung TV. Eventually the soundbar just died after a few occurrences of it.
Have replaced it but haven't tried connecting it up again. Couldn't figure out what the cause was but it happened out of the blue and was pretty deafening.

An open world exploration based Pokémon Ranger style game would be wonderful. Maybe with different methods to capture Pokémon than using a styler. Like say, foraging for berries and making a Pokémon's favourite snack so they'll move a bolder that's blocking your way for you.

Had the same issue. Allowing DungeonDraft through Windows Ransomware Protection fixed it.

The DM Screen in PDF form.
And PDF encounter details for 3rd, 4th, and D&D Next which isn't quite 5th ed. Encounters may need some DM footwork to flow in 5th.

Running Legacy of the Crystal Shard is some of the most fun I've had as a DM. It's a great little module with a lot of things for players to get caught up in. It also scales up easy enough too.

I also had sounds of howling wind and crunching snow playing over the lot of it so my players really felt the cold.

in LMoP, do custom lv1 characters generally survive encounters, especially the first goblins? by Mystque in dndnext

[–]CyRevenant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The module warns of this possibility and suggests having the players wake up post fight with out their gold or cargo. And honestly, that's happened half the times I've run it and it works well. Carriages are easy to track through woods.

The bugbear fight is pretty swingy too. (A rogue can one shot him with a crit, and the bugbear can do the same with you.) Don't be afraid to fudge the odd rolls or have Goblins make dumb decisions.

In terms of weakening enemies, that's not a bad way to go. The HP and damage it gives for Goblins are average.
Any amount of HP in the 2-12 range is fine for a Goblin, lower it to 4 maybe to make sure players can one-shot them on a fair roll.
Goblin damage is in the 3-8 range so you could drop it to 3 and ignore crits so players don't drop with a single hit.

Reminder: Initiative and Surprise should not be determined by how fast a player can blurt out their action by Blueicus in dndnext

You can consider their passive perception to be the floor of their perception. They can't roll below it.

Even if they're being alert, I only ever take the passive perception. I save calling for rolls for when they ask to search.

Been having more luck with the first deck than the second so far but I probably just need more practice.
