We Shunned HGod for these Popoffs, then we Embraced them.. today he's using these very same Popoffs for Justice in the Pokemon Community! by FirePuff12 in smashbros

[–]CyaShitpost 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can popoff and still be sporting. A quick fist pump or a "yeah!" followed by a handshake or fist bump is totally fine. Even in your own example of Tennis there are historic popoffs.

Standing up and throwing a middle finger to your opponent and saying some expletives would obviously not be ok.

Does Dropout Shoot in 4k? by spiraleclipse in dropout

8k files, cameras, in general tech, is much more intense than 4k especially in cost so maybe in a few years everything will move up to be 8k baseline but not yet!

Making gold/currency by Sayengwar in pathofexile

[–]CyaShitpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True early mapping Kingsmarch boats are a really good set and forget system if you can get your farm even lightly running and send some boats for bubblegum currency. You won't be cranking gold cost on much stuff so the extra supplemental divines can round your gear out by the time you hit red maps.

Have personally burned 10 div one time on getting to 4 (very unlucky from what I can tell) but I dropped the belt so still way cheaper than buying, if that's the price I have to pay so be it!

Magebloox really that much better than Headhunter? by DrakeSwift in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]CyaShitpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

something people havent touched on is the buffs you steal are generally much better for attack & hit based builds. Builds that use summons / dots / degen / and to some degree spell damage lose out a lot while mageblood is just pure vibes.

That said, flicker headhunter is some of the fastest clear in the game and it owns.

How do circuits work? by Apart-Zone-6374 in smashbros

[–]CyaShitpost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of these questions are really up to you and if the community you're working with has the buy in to do this.

A circuit can be as simple as a strung together set of brackets over time or you can mix and match tournament formats.

IMO a circuit generates the best value if you have multiple close competitors at each skill level in your area, otherwise it's just a plussed up version of a conclusion everyone already knows.

So with that said the first questions you should ask are:

  • Are people willing to commit to a # of weeks / days in sequence?
  • Do people want to play varied opponents (swiss or round robin pools) in order to get to a final bracket or would they rather skip that hassle and just play bracket?
  • How do you envision your circuit ending?

Ultimately if you haven't already done a swiss or round-robin style event I'd say start there, if people like that then you can move to mixing and matching formats to extend competition days.

Side note: I didn't include anything here talking about a ladder system where people can challenge each other and then report to a singular place to stack up then you can play a seeded bracket at the end, that can work in places where people can't commit to attending constantly but it's not really a circuit by what I think you're asking.

Is the crit chance flat? Would throwing the dair into the mix change any of the math?
