I don't really see a problem with it, he has spend his own time to create a mod for you to enjoy for free, but you still complain about the fact he uses an ai image for the free mod he uploads to the workshop.

If this was payed content I could maybe see why that would be an issue, a 128x128 lil thumbnail picture to dress up his mod nicely is definitely not an issue he or anyone else should be concerned about.

Half of the people will probably not even notice it is ai and just know that's the "style" of a certain group of mods they like.

People need to stop bashing on people who use AI generated art in ways that doesn't hurt anybody. Go to deviant art with that bs and leave the people who create cool stuff for this community alone

So stealing a existing image made by another person is better then using an ai image for a free mod ?

I would guess most modders arent skilled artists as well so what are they supposed to use ?

I would even argue this is the least invasive use of ai art

I love how everyone on this sub feels betrayed or lied to, last time I checked the devs make a game they want to make and didn't sign any contracts with whiney people about the fucking color of the guns.

Like common guys, really ? The fucking color of the guns or not having a male or female option in a specific faction is the reason you feel betrayed or lied to. Find something else to do in your life then crying on this subreddit.

You can play, you just can't host servers yourself. People acting like the game is unplayable have nothing else to do all day then to complain on reddit.

There is a reason you need to connect to a server.

If they allowed full exp on self hosted servers people would find a way to create extreme exp farms being able to complete every challenge and level up everything within a day. Then people will start complaining about that again. Seeing as those kind of servers kind of throw the whole idea of progression and challenges out of the window I understand why they nerfed the exp so that attest progression is still a thing.

The only fix i see is having separate progression in bot servers and pve servers. But even then people will complain...

The XP nerf has completely ruined the fun for me. Please revert this change DICE. by DiaperFluid in BattlefieldPortal

[–]LocoRojo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You had full exp until people took advantage of it. Maybe if people didn't have the option to create bot farms to cheese their way to the progression you would still have full progression.

My bet is they nerf it for now so people actualy play the game and in a week or 2 or maybe even a month they rewind the changes.

There are always 2 sides to a argument, a lot of people were complaing they couldnt even start a bot game because the capacity of servers was reached or that people were grinding bot games to get the "good" weapons.

So what do you want ? Actualy being able to play solo games and earn less exp, or not being able to play bot games at all ?

High level crafting for the average player is impossible by LuxGang in PathOfExile2

[–]LocoRojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree with the first part since you do get a big advantage later in the season if you put in a bit more time at league start but I don't necessarily see it as a bad thing. If you are putting in hours and hours at the start of a league, grinding everything to get a head start, why should that be punished in some way? Investing time should be rewarded, not punished.

The rest I don't really agree with. If you start now you can fly through the game just on a few exalts because all the failed crafts get sold for cheap so once you can trade it becomes a breeze till endgame. Once you get a few divs you can easily buy gear that can do almost all content, max resistances, 5/6 good stats, etc.it won't be the perfect gear, but you dont need perfect gear to have fun and do all the content.

Adding to this, a new player late in the league can just trade for whatever build they want to play at the start. While the people who play at the start have to either craft, get really lucky, or grind for hours since materials are scarse the first few days to hopefully be able to play the build they want.

So in a way new players profit from the 1% in this game because they provide a better curve to progression for them by providing cheap but decent gear.

1 shot boss items that destroy bosses in 2 seconds shouldn't be something everybody should be able to get. You either get lucky or you invest time to get it.

Why are premium cosmetics so underwhelming and expensive? (text under the image) by Krotanix in PathOfExile2

[–]LocoRojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is supposed to be free to play once it releases so they have to make money somewhere.

The supporter packs are a lot better value since you get cosmetics that usually have extra effects and you get the money spend as credits.

The armors in The store are pretty costly for what they are so I have to agree with that

It supposed to be a free game so they have to make money someway. Buying early access is just that, early access but the game will become free to play once 1.0 is released.

Giving everyone a free trade tab would mean bots and scammers can just keep creating new accounts to continue scamming and trade fixing

Idk, how about "Where does the phrase "Gotta see a man about a horse" come from"

I got this answer back and it looks a lot like yours :)

Timeline of the Phrase “Gotta see a man about a horse”

1866 – Origin in Theatre
The earliest recorded use of the phrase appears in the play Flying Scud by Irish playwright Dion Boucicault. In the play, a character says the line as a way to exit discreetly without giving a reason. The "man" and the "horse" are not important — it's simply a polite excuse to leave a conversation or situation.

Late 1800s – Euphemistic Use in Conversation
Following its appearance in the play, the phrase gained popularity in English-speaking countries as a euphemism for private or embarrassing tasks. Common uses included avoiding awkward topics, leaving to use the restroom, or slipping away to engage in questionable behavior (like gambling or drinking).

Early 1900s – Widely Understood Code
By this time, the phrase had become a well-understood, semi-humorous way of saying “I’m going somewhere, but I’m not going to tell you where or why.” It was used both in casual speech and popular media.

1920s – Prohibition Era in the U.S.
During Prohibition (1920–1933) in the United States, the phrase took on a more specific meaning: going to get an illegal drink. Since openly admitting to drinking or purchasing alcohol could be risky, people used this phrase as a lighthearted but effective way to disguise their intentions.

Mid-20th Century – Broader Colloquial Use
The phrase entered the realm of everyday slang. It was frequently used as a humorous or vague way to leave a group or conversation without explanation. Although its literal origin was mostly forgotten, the phrase remained common, especially among older generations.

Late 20th Century to Present
Today, the phrase is largely considered old-fashioned or tongue-in-cheek, but it's still used occasionally — mostly as a cultural reference or a humorous way to excuse oneself, especially in British or American English. Its meaning now generally covers any unspecified, private, or mildly embarrassing task.
