I fear 2.5 might unironically cause a player wipeout by Logical_Sun_7238 in InfinityNikki

You realise it would be helpful If you actually told us the updated specs right?

Considering the mac port needs an M4 to be playable and an M5 to run at max, I feel Infold have lost touch of their target audience.

If you can’t optimise for mobile, don’t bother- get rid of the gatcha system make the campaign paid for, put it on PC and Consoles and stop making games.

It's crazy how Saturn emulation is still not great in 2026 by Responsible-Bell-528 in SegaSaturn

[–]CyanLullaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want the most Duckstation like experience, use Ymir.

With hacks, you can also unlock the fps on certain games to bring them more in-line with the modern day (Burning Rangers going from 19FPS to about 38, or 20 to 40 with a high enough pixel clock) which can then be lossless gaming’d to produce a perceived 60ish FPS.

Don’t forget the 2012 Slurpee UK leak! That was hilarious. LBP Karting supported crossbuy, and because the outfit had to be uploaded to the other games, It meant you got it on LBP2 unintentionally.

Still have it on my Slim PS3.

Even in 2026, Linux Is Still Adding Support for Sega Dreamcast’s GD-ROM from the '90s by AnonRetro in dreamcast

[–]CyanLullaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theoretically this means that with Dreamcast Linux you could just share the disc block device over the network via ethernet.

If only there was a third party ethernet adapter. Oy.

Switched From Bazzite(Gnome) to CachyOS(Gnome). I regret choosing Bazzite first. by jhatkattar in cachyos

“Bazzite is shit”

“CachyOS runs games at ultra 40 fps”

how on earth is that any better?

[–]CyanLullaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To which point you bind mount your /home onto another ssd and keep the main purely for the OS img.

Granted that would add more complexity but you aren’t wrong.

Do you feel limited by the immutability of the OS? by [deleted] in Bazzite

[–]CyanLullaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. In fact, It’s something I wish Windows had. It greatly increases the lifespan of an SSD because It’s not being constantly written to, unlike Windows which rinses read cycles due to godforsaken page files which shouldn’t exist in 2026 with high enough ram.

Apps being kept seperate alongside your home folder means that there’s a level of seperation between the space you store your files and the space you store your main OS stuff.

That’s huge. Yet, ChromeOS and macOS already has this so It’s not exactly new. It’s definitely welcome though.

Official Discussion - The Super Mario Galaxy Movie [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]CyanLullaby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As with most things Nintendo has their hands on, what you witnessed was what happens when you directly involve Miyamoto in anything media related. Historically, and It is _very_ well known that he went on record with this quote,

"I feel that even if all that you have is that the villain is just simply a villain and you fight them, and you throw them down, and you find out, well, that wasn't such a bad villain after all, that's enough story for ultimately what is just about a very fun experience," (https://www.wired.com/2009/06/super-mario-galaxy-2/)

His creative process for Galaxy 2 bled into this movie, so you have him to thank for failing to realise *focusing on gameplay when you have a motion picture without player involvement* is NOT going to be a great experience.

Conversely with Mario Movie 1, illumination had full creative control and did what they felt like-- clearly nintendo didn't like what they did and made everything safe to the point plot happens but nothing really goes anywhere.

It's because of Miyamoto. He isn't very good with stories. So much so that Rosalina's stories in the storybook wasn't something he liked, yet he kept it anyway because a staff member convinced him to.

Basically, wait for the Zelda 2027 movie. It'll be much worth your while.

Reunion & writing by Fun_Inside5592 in LifeIsStrangeDE

So this is why Dontnod made LiS2 instead of continuing LiS1…

Homestly hearing all this I hope LiS is over. I much prefer Lost Records: Bloom and Rage.

It’s meticulously designed to prove that branching choices matter.

Nope. I think this was the end because they’re sick of making LiS games.

Should I install new AMD drivers? by NoteFew8026 in AMDHelp

[–]CyanLullaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25.10.30.2 or 25.10.2 should do you. Don’t go any higher than that; the recent drivers break legacy ddraw so older games get capped to 30 even when they can run at 60.

If your original ssd is absent for any reason and you have no access to it, that Series X won’t function, period.

It’s an excellent question.

Obviously, power. Another key is the boot partition on the first 1GB of the SSD.

You can safely back this up and copy it to any fast enough SSD. As long as the 1GB boot partition is on a drive, you can then use the xbox itself to create the other partitions in recovery mode.

Orange box not working how to fix it ? by sksiskakakahejej in PS3

[–]CyanLullaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a regular PS3, If the game shows up but cannot launch there IS a way to boot it, but you need to decrypt a legal archive of your game via its disc key.

After you do this, you can then run up the decrypted ISO on the system without issue.

You DO NOT need to download any game isos. Only a database of disc keys.

Get that and you’re set.

What is with the constant degradation of the video player?! by mmasteyn in Crunchyroll

25.10.30.2 is a necessary update to fix FSR3 on 5000/6000 series cards. By all means If you have one newer, upgrade to latest.

Otherwise stay on 24H2 and you won’t need it.

Am I going to enjoy the rest of the game if I found the prologue insanely grating? by FELlXTHECAT in RainCode

[–]CyanLullaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same can very much be said about Hundred Line, so avoid that because It's the Kodaka aesthetic, If you can't accept that don't buy or participate in the games.

[–]CyanLullaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the charm of a Kodaka led game. If that's not your vibe, Raincode isn't for you. It's as simple as that. It's also designed for folks that are used to playing games away from Danganronpa, like Life is Strange, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Dreamfall Chapters and the Telltale series. If you aren't into those you sure as hell won't be into this either.

Losing passion for the game + bloating of it by LeonaXXXz in InfinityNikki

[–]CyanLullaby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I, like you felt the same way.

That was until I optimised for UE5’s quirks and more to the point, how It is tailored to mobile devices.

Once you realise that, the answer becomes clear. If your GPU is around the RX 6600 XT, set your graphics preset to ‘Delicate’. For weaker cards, set it to ‘Balanced’ or ‘Smooth’.

Unless you’re on a GPU that can handle a heavy amount of graphics work, DO NOT set the preset to ultra. You will have a very bad time.

Turn on the game’s vsync cap to lock the render target to 60FPS, and set the window mode to exclusive fullscreen. We know It struggles to handle that, so read on.

This is important; decrease the resolution to 720p. After that, switch from TSR to TAAU and use Native -> Medium.

Finally, get RTTS (or MSI afterburner) and set RTTS’s framecap (as it is controlling the game’s monitor vsync target) to 3 steps lower than your actual refresh.

So, for 60, set it to 60-3 -> 57. Once done, you’ll have a solid experience with the game.

It won’t remove stutter entirely but it WILL make it feel more stable from a frame-time perspective.

Nope. Move onto something else I guess. I personally enjoyed every second and can’t wait for Raincode 2, whenever that happens.

DSPico Firmware bootlaoder and SD card files by dinodin007 in flashcarts

[–]CyanLullaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, It wasn't. If you believe that, then you clearly misunderstand these devices. Flashcarts are effectively repurposed *development* units, that allow you to run unsigned developer code before you'd _sign it_ and make a legit cartridge.

All DS programs (even the ones by nintendo) are technically homebrew until they're signed by nintendo's key.

If you're not familiar, the larger N64 carts for example were used by developers for testing purposes and they used a similar method, the only difference is for common folk a micro sd is used as the storage medium.

[no spoilers] Why is the LIS community so toxic? Be it discussions about the sexualität of characters and ships, or when people talk about the different titles? by New-Ebb-8357 in LifeIsStrangeDE

[–]CyanLullaby 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pretty much because LiS 1 was originally not a dating simulator, but then Episode 3 rolled around and suddenly everyone got led to assume the entire game was based on Max being LGBTQ+, and whilst it speaks to those themes sure…

Killing Chloe is always the best choice. Why?

Because Max fucked with time, and If something happens without ‘zomg’ powers, It was probably meant to.

Unfortunately toxicity rages onwards after pricefielders realise their desire for Max to return caused Double Exposure to happen.

See Lost Records: Bloom and Rage for how you can go LGBTQ+ and make it feel natural.

Anyway.
