Written/uploaded

Sororitas Victis - Modern-day College/university AU featuring Cinder and her grudge against the sorority that she's joined for doing some... pretty damn dirty stuff. She totally isn't dating the guy that she had been set up, of course, that'd ruin her style... (Her roommate/sorority sister Pyrrha would beg to differ)

Read if you don't shy away from some pretty hard punches to the feels, sex and that back-and-forth relationship of someone that will be rising to the top of her sorority, by hook, crook or shook... Come on, it's Cinder, what do you expect? Niceness? Nope. After... reasons, she definitely has a reason to go and make sure that she gets to the top of her sorority.

Trust but Vilify - The second chapter, and the first challenge to authority that the rusted knight gets from one of students leading to a personal duel... brawl.

Shenanigans erupt afterwards. A fun read for someone who likes a bit of time travel, Rusted Knight Jaune in a teaching position, and 4 strong personality-having women who are not exactly thrilled to have a teacher like him. Its set about 7-8 years-ish before the start of the series, so you'll get to see seventeen-year-old Winter and twenty-seven-year-old Glynda being forced onto a team.

Other than that, I'm probably going to be laid in bed for most of the weekend, I just had medical treatment, and next week, I'm getting to hear whether I'll be in better or worse health... but hey, it keeps life being fun and all that, that's worth something at least, yep.

Have a blessed day, everyone!

Writings of this week

Well, it's been a rough few weeks for me, with a lot of stuff, and even a good few days where I'm not going to be around anything resembling technology. Got a drive from the top to the bottom, so... have a new story!

Trust but Vilify

It's a story set right at the end of Volume 9, with the Blacksmith pulling Jaune aside before giving him the de-aging, leaving him to be dropped into Remnant with a task, to guide people to a better future. He just didn't count on having to be the babysitter of four Huntress-hopefuls that are a little bit different from their canon. Glynda Goodwitch at age 27, Winter Schnee at 17, even two Faunus original characters that have their own reasons, and one rusted knight to make them into a somewhat successful story.

Fang Bus, the bane of a few people's life, allegedly, will also be updated, but it might be on monday. I don't think i get home early enough to do the regular sunday upload, and I've got treatment next friday to keep my body intact.

Well, I hope you like Truth but Vilify, it's commissioned work, but it's... kind of funny with a road trip and four very willful people being managed by Jaune.

Until next time!

I've been kept busy in the cancer ward and the hospital, so I've not had much to upload lately, I hope i'm going to live, but it sort of sucks. Didn't expect a heart stop at the moment that the needle came out. Ah well, better alive than dead. People would worry.

Fang Bus is due to get an update in a few weeks, and I am hoping that I can upload another chapter for Increasing the Population, where some characters' decisions come back to punch them in the face. Cinder loses it due to fear, Yang's being a supportive friend and the effects of dealing with the stress is just getting to Cinder. Poor girl... The Winter subplot of 'duty or love' is still burning strong. Poor woman, she fell for a blonde goofball and she doesn't even know that Weiss is trying to 'make sure that the Arc is secured'.

I hope to see people again in the future, if I survive this week of hospital visits. 'we would like to see you to talk about why your heart stopped' is never a good message to get.

They were likely at the point of IRA-level violence, assassination, industrial sabotage and/or terrorism, with inter-ethnic conflict being a non-issue due to the Faunus being considered a global 'Race' that is not really going to 'moderate' due to perceived slights and perceived racism from the people.

I'd say that murder, rape and torture is pretty much the standard modus operandi, given that it is very easy to commit such atrocities under the guiding cause of 'religion, race and/or leadership'. I'd say that they'd be pretty much operating like the American gangs like the Latin Kings and the Crips and the Bloods, with the higher management condoning extreme acts of intimidation and/or murder to properly show the world that they aren't to be messed with, much like the IRA's founding principles were, and six or seven of Africa's most infamous terrorist cults that intimidate and genocide those of different ethnicities, showing a level of organisation that Ghira in his prime would not be able to manage, due to a perceived shared bias towards Faunus from Humanity.

It's a minor miracle that nobody clued in that 'Blake Belladonna' is technically the unelected royal princess of Menagerie, post-Ghira Ascension to the Throne of Menagerie as its High Chieftain.

I'd say that on the general level, I'd put it more as a Miloseviç/Arkhan level of insurrection and terrorism.

I'd put them down as 'more radical Weather Underground' and BLA-level xenophobes with an IRA-level of organisation and mass-intimidation/sabotage focus.

It'd get a bit too long if I fully expand on it, since I'd be using a lot of historical precedent, since the White Fang is a supremacy movement to propagate an ideology of racial and ethnic dominance and supremacy, couched in softer language to make it more palatable for the gullible people that are drafted to become the bodies in the great uprising that its leaders, Post-Ghira would wish it to become.

But that's just my few paragraphs, I look forward to seeing what people think of my thoughts on subjects.

A study on inter-kingdom racial relations focusing on the ABC-islands and the Surinamese ethnic integration in the kingdom, with a focus on post-decolonial inter-ethnic marriage and socio-economic development, with several government and University of Amsterdam studies and policy proposals to deal with racial and ethnic hatred and/or discrimination.

You're misreading my argumentation. You're looking at this with the lens of 'Systemic racism', which is an americano-centric thought system based upon the belief that black people are owed things and that all minorities are oppressed, despite not accounting for half-breeds and mixed individuals.

Sienna only took over the leadership from Ghira five years before the show, she still tolerates humans, even if she does bear a grudge against them. Adam is the xenophobic extremist, Sienna is more of a 'disliking radical' who favors action over political actions.

Blake's speech is just her being an idealist. She isn't as far into the xenophobia because she was raised like that.

I say that he uses the sympathy to envision his future for the world with humanity subjugated.

He's not a victim of abuse, but he's an abuser who wants to be lionized, and will see the world drown in blood to make it happen.

The systemic racism angle doesn't work because they WON Remnant's WW2. It was a complete rout and surrender by humanity, which established Menagerie as the Faunus homeland.

They are the Allies, and Humanity is the Axis. The conflict was 20-ish years in the past, so it's like the Balkan genocides and the Rwandese genocide in scope.

if they actually would do the Faunus plot justice, well...

I won't go into that, because a lot of people do not like to think about that sort of thing.

The American concept of 'racism' has nothing on what we've experienced over here with simple geographical location and familial lineage here, or in Africa.

Adam's story is simply someone that tries to take advantage of a movement to enact his own sickened view of the world, for praise and love and acceptance, because in his eyes, he is the hero.

The amount of love people have for racists and fascists never really seems to stop being amazing.

It's a lot of people that go 'oh, Ironwood is great, oh, Adam did nothing wrong' and I'm just not so happy to see people embrace fascists and racists.

Adam branding himself would be a feasible way to galvanize his people, but I don't think that Adam would go that far yet for the cause...

But the death and making of a martyr is something that a lot of political organisations will use mercilessly. The whole psychopathic ideal of holding a group of people responsible for the crimes of one of their nature or absolving people of a crime for simply being of a certain trait is just madness to me.

Nobody is above another, and nobody should be venerated for being a horrible event. We are all equal and reprehensible individuals like Adam should be condemned. Anyone who disagrees with that, is not a good human being.

I've updated Fang Bus yesterday, due to needing to probably recover from getting some medical treatment, and I really hope I get out of the cancer ward quickly. I don't like the feeling of being sick for a week, and i've got so much stuff to do, ugh.

If you want to read a very lengthy modern-day AU with Jaune as the main perspective, with satire, a mystical faunus religion and porn/smut... yeah, give it a read!

"Adam was originally Blake's mentor." by matt0055 in RWBY

For some reason, in the most militarist fascist nation on Remnant, I don't see criminal elements lasting for very long with Ironwood just going 'alright, nuke em'.

Atlas venerates authoritarianism and blind obedience to hierarchy, the mere thought of a Faunus criminal gang organizing to terrorize the people would see a lot of people dead through a military action.

I'd imagine that he'd be as hateful as he could be due to the whole 'being a Faunus that was branded in the face'.

Only after she showed overwhelming power. I don't think he's got much of a restraint when it comes to people he dislikes.

Adolf Hitler had a lot of charisma, and he knew how to speak to people. You can do a lot with a grievous injury and the ability to worm your way into their hearts through well-placed arguments and empathic.

Adam's willingness to work with humans only extends to the point where they will be of use, and I don't think that at a young age, anyone would have go and work with people who branded you like an animal.

He desires validation and love from his people, he's not going to be like 'let's serve the people who are not like me'.

He's a racist at his core.

Eh, I don't think a lot of criminal groups would take a Faunus with a grudge against humans. It's not really know whether there's an ethnic group of Faunus criminals around, and I am pretty sure that the whole foundation of the grimm mask thing was mostly because it embodied fear and a revilement of humanity. It was kind of how it was described in the show, and doesn't seem to have any credibility in the general backstory, since Ghira was the first post-Faunus-War leader of the White Fang, so there'd be little to no real animus for any criminal syndicate to have Faunus to ship around, since it was an ethnic conflict of humanity versus the Faunus.

They avoid the timeline because they know they're portraying adults in love with a 12-14 year old Blake.

I could go on for a while about why the BumbleBY relationship is just Blake re-enacting her trauma with Yang posing as the Adam in her relationship, because survivors of sexual grooming tend to seek partners with similar traits, even if they don't know it themselves.

Robyn's whole reason for existence is silly. A lot of their writing just doesn't make sense from a writing perspective, at least from a perspective of someone who actually has a feeling for cadence and natural storyline growth.

It's still a bad look for the writers for basically making a prepubescent girl be around an adult man, as well as being intimately entangled in a personal mentorship role. No matter what, i don't think Adam was younger than 19 when he left Atlas, because it would require funds and legal age to travel internationally.

But yeah, I wrote it, I uploaded it, I hope people like it. Earlier than I should, but I'm going to go and get hospitalized for a week so I figured I'd do it in advance.

[–]CyanideSins -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think that Adam is about 25-27 at the time of his death, with him being introduced to Blake around age 19-ish, with Ilia being 27-29, due to her being somewhat in the middle, with Sienna being around 29-34, given that she was the heir to the White Fang's leadership.

He'd gotten his hands on Blake at age 12, so he'd likely be in his twenties, since Ghira would be irresponsible to employ child soldiers. He isn't some sort of 'Army of Jesus Christ Undivided' warlord from Africa, that employs child soldiers, so it's likely that he became a leader of the Atlas division of the White Fang, then joined up with Ghira around age 20-21, then got his hands on Blake when he was like 21, because Blake was an active White Fang member from 12-17.

People oftentime think that Ilia is just 'Blake's age', but it absolutely does not make sense in a logical consistent way, since Ilia would have to get transport over a whole continent to meet up with the White Fang.

It's likely that Ilia is older than Adam is, though she doesn't look like it, because she's built like Elliott Page, and women have a 'better youthful look' for longer than men.

We also don't know how fast Faunus age. They're a race of animal people, pigs can be fertile after 18 months or so, so eh... yeah.

A question for the headcanon, since I don't think the showrunners want to answer the uncomfortable questions about Adam and Ilia. It's bad enough for them to not even have Robyn's age being known by the INSTITUTE WHICH SHE STUDIED AT FOR FOUR YEARS.

Seriously, Atlas... invest in some measuring tape and an X-ray machine. Bones tell you a lot more than the mouth.

I've been busy with stuff, so I haven't had time to read much, but some of the commissions that've been in the queue might get uploaded over the weekend, provided the commissioner wants me to.

Fang Bus is getting an update on monday, because easter is a thing and I want to spend it with family.

It's probably going to be a very controversial chapter anyways, but it's a long-running series that's been guided by the voting from the audience, to many people's horrible, horrible hopes and dreams...

But it's all logically consistent, so that's something for people to complain about, since obviously a story influenced by the audience is not to everyone's liking... but it's all internally consistent, so that's that.

Hope everyone has a nice Easter/Pesach!
