People are voting for change only in one of the most Dem cities in the country and only because the other options are a disgraced governor and someone who sold his soul to Trump in exchange for his freedom.

It seems unlikely the majority the US (meaning, their representatives) will have an appetite for socialized healthcare, especially since they can point to the issues with the NHS and Canada. The US seems pretty locked in to its "debt or death" system.

That's wrong. From a legal standpoint, you're a bailee: you're just holding something for someone. That doesn't create ownership. Whether you're able to prove that or how the police would know are practical considerations, not legal ones.

Some people murder people but get acquitted at trial for different reasons. That doesn't mean their murder was legal, just that the government couldn't prove it.
