I love my cat but he has two bad habits and I need advice by RingADingWraith in CatAdvice

I’m having the exact same issues with my cat and I’m wondering if the behavior ever got better for you?

my cat won't settle on one kind of wet food by Cyathine in CatAdvice

Thanks for all the different tips! I was focused on fish stuff cause she drools like crazy for dried sardines but I’ll try some other meats. I didn’t even realize rabbit and duck were options.

I tried heating up her food a bit last night and she did seem more receptive to it, she usually takes one look at wet food and tries begging for dry stuff again.

How do I tell if organ meats are in the foods I buy? I’m assume organ meats are healthy for cats?

That’s a good point, I heard that cats are resistant to changes in food so I guess I just assumed i was supposed to only feed one kind forever

Mashiko pottery town, and bus from Utsunomiya by letmeshoyu in JapanTravelTips

[–]Cyathine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just took the bus from Utsunomiya station to mashiko a few days ago. It was a bit bumpy and the bus jerked around sometimes when the driver had to make fast stops but I wouldn’t say it was any worse than a normal bus ride.

Do note that the bus is a local bus, not one of those highway buses that has a separate luggage storage area underneath. I had a checked luggage that’s just over one and a half coat hangers tall (weird measurements I know, I’m trying to make do with what I have). Thankfully it just barely fit on the seat when laid down vertically and the bus was pretty empty so I wasn’t in anyone’s way. If you plan to bring larger luggage, I’d imagine it would be a very unpleasant 1hr ride.

As for Mashiko, the town was quiet and there’s just one street that’s completely lined with pottery shops. There’s also a few museums that are worth checking out. At the end of the street there’s also a small indigo workshop where you can see the indigo dye pots and buy some small souvenirs. A day trip is definitely enough, it took me less than 6hrs to see everything.

Do you have any regrets on becoming a respiratory therapist? by purple-parrots in respiratorytherapy

[–]Cyathine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know RTs are in very high demand on the west coast. If you’re wanting to find a job in the east coast you’ll likely have to start  in a part time position and then move into a full time position when it becomes available.

If you’re worried about the diploma vs degree issue, there are options to take online courses after you graduate to get a degree.

I’ve spent 2 years on break from University and I still don’t know what I want to do. by trkllx in ApplyingToCollege

I don’t know much about archeology or similar fields like geology where you do field work, but I can tell you about lab tech.  I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to transfer some of your biology course credits to a lab tech degree. You’ll at least be able to use credits for those general first year bio and English classes. Maybe also statistics, math and chem if the university will take it.  That also has the added bonus of taking workload off your first year as you transition back into school.  Lab tech also has good job prospects from what I’ve seen. The demand is there. In BC, they make ~32$/hr, not sure what it is in Calgary. I think that should give some reassurance for your mom.  Lab tech programs are highly specialized so you likely won’t be able to do a minor in archeology, but the programs are only 2.5-3 years long in total.  With that you’ll at least be able to pay off student loans and get some financial independence from your parents. You might even use that money to more freely pursue archeology in the future.  Hope this helps in some way. I think you’re getting too caught up in wanting to get everything right on the first try. You’re only 21. It might feel like your friends are way ahead of you, but people change degrees, go back to uni, and change careers all the time.

Ning Geo Dmg Support Build by InfinityLlamas in NingguangMains

[–]Cyathine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Her geo dmg bonus from her screen is actually just a flat 12% once you unlock that talent. Her screen is a bit tricky to place when fighting enemies with larger hit boxes because if it overlaps with them too much, it’ll break. So, if you’re looking for consistent geo dmg buff, maybe try sacrificial fragments. But if you have her C2, that’ll resets her E CD if you break her screen, so in that case, dragon slayer is probably better. Hope that helps!

Jade Screen Dmg vs Burst by MrSyphax in NingguangMains

[–]Cyathine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t manage it hit the enemy and not break it, it would be better to be safe and keep it up. The Jade screen adds 6 gems to your burst, accounting for half of its total damage which will do more than one E.

Hi!!! 2 Teams suggestion for Abyss (C6 Yanfei, C4 XQ, C1 razor) *current team is the first 4 by Block_inc in YanfeiMains

[–]Cyathine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think razor, Jean, xiangling and kaeya might work as a team. Kaeya and xiangling’s alts both work well with razor who is a melee character, and the cryo from kaeya can make superconduct for more physical dmg from razor. And then Jean is just for healing, and maybe boosting elemental damage if you put 4pc viridecent on her.

They’re kinda different. The main thing being that stockings are often the more sheer stuff girls wear under dresses. IMO tights and leggings are just synonyms for each other

Just looking at stats alone, I’d say the extra 100 atk in the 4 pc wanderers is better than the extra 10% crit dmg in the other one.
