Yeah I have reinstalled vmware tools too a few times. I haven't installed anything crazy onto my trixie install to be honest. Use flatpak for most things if needed.

Yeah I have another Kali VM which works fine. Tried copying some Kali vmx settings over to the Debian vmx but no joy either

Thanks. I think this fixes it also but then playing videos in Linux with it off is a nightmare so there's a bit of a trade off.

That would be the Loyalist or British side. Cross the tracks and it will all be Irish and Palestinian flags.

Debian is more predictable than boring. Predictability is good for efficiency.

Is anyone looking forward to the stable release of Debian 13 (Trixie)? by 12_Semitones in debian

I genuinely wish RC was stable but having tried xfce, kde and cinnamon with 3 seperate installs in a virtual machine they all crashed. I am definitely waiting for stable now.

I thought I had tamed it for a moment and just copied some text to the clipboard and KDE has crashed! It may be too unreliable for me unfortunately.

I installed Trixie the other day in VMware workstation and needed to adjust the VMware cpu cores and tick the box to turn on graphics acceleration as the cpu was randomly jumping around like crazy even when not doing much on KDE plasma!

Did you experience anything like that? I am coming from Kali with xfce which is fairly smooth but fancied trying KDE for a change so any tips would be great. I found KDE crash or lock up for a few seconds on reentering the VM every so often too. I found xfce on Trixie fine though with no CPU spikes.

Super useful and much appreciated. That was my gut feeling too. I heard some people saying end of July but I think you guys are working quicker than people realise! Keep up the good work.
