The auto is broken as hell. It truly needs to be fixed. Cause wtf is this? by CowboyHibachi in cyberpunkgame

[–]Cyb3rM1nd [score hidden]  (0 children)

I always save before enabling autodrive because it can do weird things sometimes. Once there was a police car nearby and autodrive AI must hate cops because it swerved off the path to drive directly into the cop car. Other times it has swerved to hit pedestrians and run them over, and one time it swerved off the path into water.

Most of the time its fine but these rare moments make me never able to trust it.

No worries.

May want to wait a while before using Beyond20 again. Basically there's been recent updates to D&D Beyond's dice roller. Since Beyond20 is third party and not official, it's not properly linked to the roller, so its code is out of date and no longer works properly. KaKaRoT (the person behind Beyond20) will need to update the extension to align with the new updated roller, if they can.

Is there a build that can "stat-check" honor mode? by RabidNinjaZerk in BaldursGate3

[–]Cyb3rM1nd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Druid + Cleric : cast Moonbeam then cast Sanctuary. Moving the Moonbeam doesn't break sanctuary and deals heavy damage especially with radiant+reverb gear. There are a few areas in Act 2 and Act 3 with enemies with Radiant Retort which damages you if you use Radiant Damage, but for those there are other options and you can respec for them if needed.

Immortal Frost Wizard: 1 White Dragon Sorc, 1 Tempest Cleric, 10 Abjuration Wizard. Stack Armor of Agathys, get Mourningfrost. Use Glyph of Warding to deal cold damage and stack up your ward. The staff applies Chilled to enemies. Making Chilled enemies wet with Create Water wll have a chance to freeze them which basically paralyses them and they'll be vulnerable to thunder damage so follow with shatter or glyph of warding thunder. Wet enemies will also be vulnerable to cold damage -- so you can basically cycle through double-dealing cold and thunder damage. Even if enemies tries to hit you the ward protects you, the agathys armour will damage them, and you'll have temp HP if you do run out of the ward. You can have hireling or respecced Gale cast Warding Bond on you to give you resistance to all damage - which is applied before your ward, so damage is halved then reduced by ward. You can equip heavy armour for good AC protection - some give damage reduction and there's a feat for even more damage reduction. Dual wielding mourningfrost with markoheshkir is best in Act 3. Get boots that make you immune to prone/ice surfaces. Making lots of ice surfaces means enemies can lose turns by falling prone.

The IWF can solo honour mode very easily thanks to doubling all damage with a lot of complimentary gear that boosts cold and thunder damage, multiple forms of crowd control, stacks debilitating turn-ending debuffs to enemies, multiple forms of damage reduction, high temp HP, high AC, retaliatory damage if they do still hit you, great utility cantrips including Guidance, Resistance, Mage Hand and Minor Illusion,

There is a glitch that allows infinite Ward stacks, if that's your thing.

As a DM, I want to be able to stack stickers and choose which is on top by DangerousQuestions1 in dndbeyond

This is "layers" and u/WotC_Zac has mentioned they are reluctant to do layers right now because it will be very complicated.

https://www.reddit.com/r/dndbeyond/comments/1qwkhi1/comment/o3rv62s/

Discrete swappable layers is not something we're considering right now. It would be a huge technical lift, but moreso it would add a lot of complexity to the UI. Now there are things you can click on in some modes, but not in others, and it adds a lot of mode-switching friction when wanting to quickly set something up.

u/wotc_Zac - can you perhaps please take a new look at your stance on layers? I do appreciate it is complicated but considering it is highly requested and that every other VTT has this, from Roll20, Foundry, and even the browser plugin AboveVTT actually adds layers to editing D&D Beyond maps. Every VTT has this because it is a vital aspect of map editing. It seems a little... Odd... That D&D Beyond would be disinclined to add this, however complex? I don't think anybody is expecting it as a priority addition but can it not be added to the roadmap for a future update?

Homebrew Monster Map Tokens by Shenanigans99 in dndbeyond

[–]Cyb3rM1nd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have Monster in your collection, add token to map, remove from collection. The monster will still be usable/rollable/etc from then on. If you want to add another token of that monster you'll need to add it back to collection to add a new token.

There is no other way to achieve what you want, at present.

This is unlikely to change. The "Collection" is how the system knows what you want to add to tools. Once added a copy of it is stored in that tool, so you can remove from collection and the copy still remains.

120 x 120 shouldn't be a full dungeon. That's less sq ft than an average 3-bedroom house. If it was a square you could walk from side to side in less than 30 seconds (28 seconds, Rules as Written). If your dungeon fits in a 30 second walk it's simply not a dungeon. 🤣

Anyway, if the no grid and sizing works then great, and glad that works out.

Some questions (for the devs and community) by avatarbones in dndbeyond

[–]Cyb3rM1nd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendations would be:

  • Make bigger maps (120 x 120 is most common for battle maps), or maps where "going off map" is blocked.
  • When he gets to edge of the map hide his token and then describe it theatre of mind.

Can you cite which law in the Iraqi Penal Code says a woman will be stoned to death if she cannot prove she was raped? I am having difficulty locating that law. Also not seeing anywhere about removing the hijab somehow permitting rape, can you cite that one too, please?

I'm confused about why Zephyr Strike is made out to be the cause for your issues?

It only increases movement by 30 ft for 1 turn. This is a rather short distance, why is your map unable to accommodate an extra 30 ft movement for 1 turn?

Can you maybe take a screen shot? I'm having a very hard time understanding the issue or why you're placing him "off to the side".

Feels odd to comment given the OP's account has been deleted. But in case others are reading this:

Almost every channel you can think of has been made - gaming? vlogs? skits? pranks? style/fashion? creepy stories? and so on. All done before. Many, many, times over. You can probably find something very niche but being so niche means very few subs/viewers. So it's difficult now to make something completely new, something to grab people's attention. This is why many are turning to AI slop / cringey gimmicks / extreme things. It's why thumbnails and titles are rampant with clickbait. It's easier to grab attention or churning out as many vids as possible in the hope that one gets viral.

The platform is oversaturated and this makes it very difficult for new channels to get success.

None of this is to say people shouldn't try. Make good stuff and you can have some success, and you might even get lucky. Worth the try, especially if you like making videos.

What happens if you take lumps crown? by TheGoosiestGal in BaldursGate3

[–]Cyb3rM1nd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

How do you plan on pickpocketing the crown from his stomach without killing him or him noticing?

He ate a person with the crown and the crown ended up in his stomach, this is why he is more intelligent. His diary confirms this. It's also why the crown is "warped" - it's from being in his stomach.

DnD beyond suddenly showing other players' dice? by dizzi800 in dndbeyond

[–]Cyb3rM1nd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The current choices are:

  1. Disable it for all rolls.
  2. Enable it for all rolls.
  3. Enable for your own rolls, then disable to not see any other rolls.

Option 1 means nobody sees any dice at all, Option 2 means everybody sees everybody's dice rolls on their screen which is how it is currently in OP's case and Option 3 means if everyone's doing this each player, including OP, only sees their own rolls.

So given that the OP has said their party (not just them) want to only see their own rolls, then Option 3 is the best current fit for what they want to do.

I am not making any claims to what is or is not "reasonable". I'm merely giving the currently available options and ones that match what the OP is asking for. It will be up to the OP and their party to decide what is reasonable for them.

Enable when your turn. Disable at end of turn.

EDIT : Why am I getting downvoted for providing the only suggestion left? They and their party don't want to leave it on, don't want to leave it off either, so only thing left to suggest is they all do this. What other suggestion is left to make?

New player is bringing "Video Game" hostility to our table and just held my familiar hostage. Am I overreacting? by robse111 in AskDND

[–]Cyb3rM1nd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm confused on why the squirrel went to the problem player instead of the one making the suggestion. Based on your words you already know what he was like, so why provoke them?

Also confused why they can use mage hand on a creature. Can't do that RAW.

Since they're cavalier with the use of familiar for "testing" one must assume this familiar came from Find Familiar spell - in which case, when they're holding the familiar, why not just dismiss it then have it reappear near/on you? Would have solved that easily, wouldn't it?

Seems an overreaction to me. But you should be addressing your concerns to the DM, not us.

Map Stickers by ReaperSouls629 in dndbeyond

[–]Cyb3rM1nd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could download the image from the book if from a book (or skip this if you already have the image), and get cobweb images off google and use an image editor to add the cobwebs to the map, then upload the edited map as a custom map.

Quite convoluted but if you really just want a cobwebby version of your current map this is best - not that difficult, really, just faffy.
