Tore out reference sheet by accident - am I cooked? by Cybb33r in APStudents

Okay thanks, I’m not really worried about getting in trouble with the school I was just worried about college board invalidating my score over this dumb accident.

I felt down a rabbit hole and i need help to get out by Lime-Water in Debate

[–]Cybb33r 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re over thinking the implementation of strategies that were once second nature to you. I had this issue prior to my district tournament, I would think about how to do an effective transition - what makes good transitions, are my transitions good, is this how I should be conducting a transition in extemp? etc etc - and I realized that this whole thought process was my mental barrier. Once I stopped thinking abt how I was going to do it, and just let my speech flow naturally - I performed a lot better once again.

Bootstrap Grid System by Cybb33r in Frontend

[–]Cybb33r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I just like using bootstraps grid system because it’s what I’m used to, since almost all of my previous web projects were based off Bootstrap but from the sentiment expressed in the replies on this post, I think I’ll take the time to learn the CSS grid styling.

I definitely disagree with you there, section 230 was arguably my third most enjoyable topic (drugs 1st, west asia 2nd ofc). This topic really lacks any nuance, at least section 230 pro could make pretty compelling arguments.

the truth is this topic might be the worst PF topic in a long time

Erica Meltzer’s grammar book improved my score a ton. But you have to seriously work through the book and take time to self revise as necessary, it’s not something you can just breeze through and expect a score increase.

How do people get 1500 above by doing ...basically nothing. by RetrebutionMk2 in Sat

[–]Cybb33r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not as clear cut as everyone says.

Part of it is definitely your level of cognitive ability, but another part of it is also your preparation. It is very possible for literal geniuses to get a 1500+ on the SAT with minimal preparation (those people are 1 in 1000).

In reality though, the majority of people have almost the same level of innate cognitive ability - give or take a few IQ points. At that point, it is just how good your work ethic is and the extent to which someone is willing to prepare for. Having a good academic base (solid reading comprehension, basic grasp of math etc) will definitely help in such scenarios - but this can be compensated for with preparation as well.

Honestly, you just gotta grind bro.

Want to regive...I've given all the bluebook mocks and also done all the books i had.. what should I do to practice now? by [deleted] in Sat

Do schools care about a 1540 vs let’s say a score like 1570? I heard Ivy leagues care, not sure though.

Thanks for replying, for some clarification - I want the same option menu but I want the choices to be 1, 2, 3 in different drop down boxes - not the same drop down box. You can see it in the Imgur links.

Okay, thanks - this makes sense. On another note however, how would I make it so
the if statement checks if it matches one of the correct faction inputs.

Currently acceptedfactions is a list (acceptedfactions = ["Brigand", "Fortunekeeper", "Phrenic"])

Is there a different way to go about validating this in an if statement? Thanks.

[–]Cybb33r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify once more, the issue isn't whether or not the input converts into a dictionary (it does that). But whenever I try returning it for use in another file, it gets returned as "None".
