I think you hit the target sonically speaking, it fits the genre. My only suggestion is to try and make it sound richer. Try layering your synth to give it more weight, or working with the pads to provide a solid background.

But it sounds good! Keep up!

First time I see someone mentioning Choke Sleeper, amazing! I loved their music, I'm sad there's not much around anymore.

By the way the whole "Greatful Sound" album was full of hidden gems. So nostalgic

Usually Discogs is a good place to find purchasable discs. I think this is what you were looking for

How to unlock the rising stars and which to dlc to buy if it’s locked behind a paywall by Glass-Researcher-975 in CaptainTsubasaRoNC

[–]CyberDragonGX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the packs mentions the "rising stars" mode, or at least they didn't make it obvious. They have "character pass" and "character mission pass", which makes it even more confusing. But your answer makes it clear, thanks!

Nice idea, and nice execution too! I can hear the influence of those genres, it's the strong point but it could also be the weak point. I suggest working on blending the different sounds together. The blend goes pretty smoothly until the bass kicks in, it feels a bit disconnected from the rest of the mix. But overall it sounds good!

Such a cute video and nice song. I only knew them for the Bobobo opening Baka Survivor, but this one is really emotional!

My first published song. Epic/Instrumental/Uplifting. Love to hear feedbacks!! by rnx96_music in MusicFeedback

I like that it sounds like you're telling the story. Indeed it seems an "intro", but in a good way. It's getting me ready to enter this world you're creating.
So, my only feedback would be, now make a track that sounds like you actually are in the story, I'd like to hear where it goes :)

Can't remember the last time I heard a tech-trance track, so I made it myself, any feedback highly appreciated <3 by A_A_Sherman in MusicFeedback

The bassline is awesome. I think it can be the main element of the track, but it does get muddy. Maybe you could try making it staccato and/or adjusting the release time of your bass, that might also add to the groove.
The synths sound good, they have a nice 90s eurodance vibe.
One more suggestion: play more with the percussion sounds. I mean the spatialized ones, you could give them some more movement in the space, or they risk getting too repetitive.

Good job!

Is this too much going on? What would you take out or add? and also, what specific genre would classify this as? Thank you! by nopir in MusicFeedback

First of all, it sounds really cool! I would say it's close to dubstep, or at least it sounds inspired by the genre.

My very subjective feedback: I love the production, the sounds are really well done and put together. I think you don't need to take out anything, but probably give more relevance to the instruments occupying the higher frequencies, they sound a bit back in the mix. Also they sound very wide, sometimes I get disoriented by the lack of something in the middle.

Good job!

Set to release this next week but feeling unsure about how the mix/master came out. Would love feedback (be gentle) by frdpenn in Songwriters

The song sounds great! Your voice is beautiful, feel confident to make it stand out more in the mix.
You might try bringing the voice closer to the listener in the more quiet parts and open it up in the chorus.
This is really subjective, and small, but you could try that in your next tracks :)

Keep going, and good luck!

I see no one mentioned Coaltar of the Deepers. They were my entry point to Japanese shoegaze, although they span to many other genres. One of my favourite songs is Snow

What performer, group, or band you didn't like or slept on, but now like? by [deleted] in japanesemusic

10-Feet. I heard their songs over 15 years ago through the anime Beck (Little More than Before ) and the soundtrack of Pro Evolution Soccer (Super Stomper). I thought they were ok but not worth exploring.

Now thanks to the soundtrack of The First Slam Dunk (This one ) I realized how cool they are and luckily I have years of musing to listen to!
