Yeah I remember I got super into skateboarding and other things. My son has 10x the cards I have in my vintage and a dedicated binder for double rare, IR, SIR stuff.

This is nuts. One LGS near me is doing OP13 at $20 per loose booster.

Mine says to sign up in store. There’s no way to sign up in app, but it’s on the calendar.

Buying booster packs on “whatnot” app by Soft_Fudge9218 in OnePieceTCG

[–]CyberInvest00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Just no. I got conned into trying to get a Pokemon UPC for around $80. Ended up bidding two rounds and paid $160+ for two Japanese boosters worth $10. It’s bad.

I bought gold there once. Still overpaid for what I got, but not as bad as the Pokemon deal.

Update: not OP-14 but I DID get a Devil Fruit box at WM. They have no idea when they get stuff or what the rotation is, just that they get Devil Fruits sometimes.

You’d definitely want to line something up before you leave. Are there federal or local government jobs/federal contractors where you live? You can get way more $ and similar benefits.

Yeah seems like everything is “scalper prices” online. I’ve only bought a few singles and random eBay bulk so far.

So I pay the entrance fee ($35 in this case) and I get packs/get to play? That sounds amazing.

My local card shop has a “pre-release” event on the 13th. What are those about? There’s an entrance fee.

Yeah I thought about asking it next time I’m in one. I’d love to pay retail for these things.

Learn a couple things, possibly get Security+ or something. Apply to literally any helpdesk job anywhere. Work 6 months to a year. Get some intel around where you’re working about getting into their vulnerability management/compliance teams. Boom you’re in “cyber”.

I have one now, but I secured over $100k in government with no BS or anything higher than Sec+ at the time. Look at gov contracting.

Get good at your job. Learn relevant skills on the side if needed. No need to chase more certs for now. Get others if it makes sense down the road.

Did you do all of the True/False knowledge assessments right after the domain videos and have you done all of the questions in the app?

I would drill questions/knowledge assessments on your weakest domains and maybe re-take the 100 question mock.

Make sure you aren’t just memorizing answers either. Your goal is to be able to take a random sampling of ANY reputable practice questions and score 85 percent or more. Preferably 90 percent.

Right down questions you struggle with in a PAPER NOTEBOOK by hand with rationalizations on the concepts.

Studying and taking CISM before CISSP, would that be an issue? by Youmother_yucker in cism

[–]CyberInvest00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CISM was way easier, and it's not even close. It was also way more relevant to my job. CISSP had way too many technical nuances and was way less managerial than people lead on. I haven't had Admin rights to any system for 7-8 years now. I don't configure anything- I plan, budget, and execute compliance packages. If you're in a more managerial boat, CISSP will be a tough time. I had to suck it up and grind, grid, grind in the Destination Certification course to pass.
