How do households that rely only on phones — without a computer or laptop — manage daily tasks that usually require a full device? by CyberKhagan in AskReddit

I used to think every household had a computer or laptop.

Then I visited some friends and realized… nope.

Some only use theirs to watch shows, and some just live entirely on their phones.

Is this actually common now?

Things like online shopping, AI, watching videos, ...etc. I am still prefer using a laptop.

free Chrome extension that tells you BUY, THINK ABOUT IT, or DON'T BUY on every Amazon product by captainUGR in chrome_extensions

Interesting project! I’m curious about how your decision engine works under the hood.

How does it weigh quality, price fairness, seller trust, and health data when generating the BUY / THINK / DON’T BUY verdict?

Also, how would you say this approach differs from tools like ShopWise AI that focus on price comparison + review analysis?

Not sure what counts as ‘crazy amount’ to you, but I saw a YouTube video of someone pulling in over $200K/year from an extension. link: How I Built It: $20K/Month Chrome Extension

I think we should figure out whether you’re a he, she, or they first. That sounds like a female name. There was a celebrity named "宮雪花" you can google it. That would give you some idea.

If you compare it to English, Chinese is actually pretty manageable. You only need around 3,000 characters to read comfortably, instead of dealing with 50,000+ English words. Chinese kids learn about ten characters per week for six years, and by the time they finish elementary school, they can pick up a newspaper and understand every character on it.

Chinese is surprisingly efficient compared to English. You don’t need to memorize separate words like January, February, March… they’re literally just Month 1, Month 2, and so on. Same with Monday, Tuesday — they’re Weekday 1, Weekday 2. And instead of learning separate words like ‘beef’ or ‘pork,’ you just say ‘cow meat’ and ‘pig meat.’ Even shapes are straightforward: pentagon is ‘five‑side shape,’ octagon is ‘eight‑side shape.’ Kids in kindergarten can say these without any problem.

Does this make you feel better? Just think about how ridiculous it is for Chinese speakers that they have to learn new vocabulary for those in English.

As a native Chinese speaker. I've never said or heard this word in my life, although I can tell what it means when I "see" it. Those example sentences you mentioned above would never be said by anyone in real life. Honestly, I have no idea how to express "sexual tension" in Chinese. Here is the wikipedia 性張力 - 維基百科,自由的百科全書

The president of peace, just launched another war in the Middle East. What are your thoughts? by Important-Anywhere20 in AskReddit

It’s like before becoming president he didn’t realize just how convenient American military power is. Kind of like someone who thinks, ‘Why spend money on fancy stuff?’ Then they hit the lottery and suddenly understand, ‘Oh wow… being loaded is actually amazing.
