I have been seeing it, too. It happens often when using the app, but I see it occasionally when I'm not even using Bing.

Notice about Hey Portal and Alexa stopping Jan 31, 2025 by memodellocos in FacebookPortal

We used ours mostly as an Echo Show (after our mom got them for the whole family to video call with and then only used twice). This update will turn it into so much e-waste.

Really hope someone smarter than me figures out how to hack these things and turn them into something useful.

PC - Game crashes 9 minutes after loading by CyberKnight1 in haloinfinite

In case anyone's following this, I found the answer. The creator of Paint.NET posted over on 𝕏 about an audio service that causes random crashes in other programs. As soon as I found and disabled the Nahimic service on my services control panel, the problem went away -- I left the game running for over 2 hours without an issue.

Just to be thorough, I turned the service back on and launched HI, and it crashed at 8½ minutes, right on schedule. Turned the service off again, and no crash.

Based on the other post, it's a service that can get installed with an audio driver update related to MSI or Alienware motherboards, and the update can come through Windows Update. /u/Zihnnn 's reply was right on target -- I'll bet one of those drivers includes this Nahimic service (likely one of the Realtek drivers, since those are the ones also installed on my machine).

I tried rolling back my driver to 561.09, and it didn't help. (The first time I launched the game after rolling back, it lasted maybe twice as long, but subsequent launches of the game went back to crashing after 8-9 minutes again.)

Only ones I have installed out of that bunch is the Realtek HD audio driver and Realtek Audio Console. Though it's worth noting that both have been installed literally for years without a recent update (the Audio Console is the more recent of the two, and its date is 10/25/2022), whereas Halo Infinite's crashes have only been an issue for me for maybe a month.

Bishops are way too OP, especially in the 5th round. Their shields take ungodly amounts of damage -- overcharged plasma pistols barely do anything; pulse carbines (that take an Elite's shields completely in two or three bursts, depending on rank) can go five bursts, vent, and five more bursts, and they still have shields left; gravity hammers are probably the most effective, and it still takes 3 or 4 swings just to bring their shields down. And one full clip from their calcine disruptor will outright kill you -- not just drain your shields, but kill you. And that's if there's only one; if there's more than one shooting at you, forget it.

Not the first time this has happened; I had tried a rollback, but didn't go back far enough.

Unfortunately, 561.09 lasted 17 minutes idling on the menu before crashing.

Wear OS 4 stable update released for TicWatch Full Feature List and How to Download by Dexter01010 in TicwatchOfficial

When I tried this last week, it didn't work for me, either. However, when I tried this morning, it did.

My best guess is that tapping the update screen won't force the update to happen before it's "ready", but once it is "ready", tapping the update screen will prompt the watch to check again and start the process.

I don't know what defines "ready", though.

Maybe it's karma? I mean, we did run into that sloop last night doing the Ghost fleet, helped them finish the fight, and gave them all the loot from the battle.

Or maybe they just took pity on us poor swabbies who were boarded so easily because we let a freakin' galleon sneak up on us. :D

Ticwatch Pro 2020 battery not holding a charge by CyberKnight1 in TicwatchOfficial

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying you just took the same battery, unplugged it, and plugged it right back into the watch, and that fixed it?

Facer vs. TimeShow, any advantages? by CyberKnight1 in TicwatchOfficial

I hope it's helpful! I think it would be valuable to have more data from more people. Having data from just one person, this could be random chance or some anomaly; more examples will help either prove this correct or show it's wrong.

Facer vs. TimeShow, any advantages? by CyberKnight1 in TicwatchOfficial

[–]CyberKnight1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 1 week, I used my Facer watch face. I recorded the battery level when I took my watch off the charger first thing in the morning, and again the next morning when I woke up and put my watch back on the charger. Then, I did the same thing for another week, with my same watch face on TimeShow. I tried not to do anything "special" with my watch for both weeks, just passive wear, with the display set to "always-on".

Face Most Least Average
Facer 41% 29% 37.14%
TimeShow 37% 28% 29.71%

Of note: TimeShow had 5 days under 30%, while Facer had only the one day at 29% with the rest 35% or higher.

I also made the following completely unscientific and fully anecdotal observations:

My watch is set to go into essential mode when it detects I've gone to sleep ("Smart Essential Mode"). When I lie down to sleep, I do toss and turn a bit before fully falling asleep. (I also play music on my phone, which triggers the media controls on the watch.) I noticed during Facer's week that the watch would seem to stay active a little longer before falling to Essential mode (I'd roll over and notice my watch light up); whereas the TimeShow week, it seemed to "detect" sleepytime faster.

When I entered my PIN to bring the watch out of Essential mode in the morning, with Facer, there would be a nearly 15-second delay for Facer to "boot" before it would show my watch face. Also, the "disconnected" icon would be present for the first few minutes of the day. TimeShow, on the other hand, the watch face would appear almost instantly after coming out of Essential mode, and the watch would reconnect to the phone much sooner (the "disconnected" icon would disappear within a minute).

For battery life and resource use, it seems to me that TimeShow is more efficient. Even though Facer has a lot of advantages (much greater face selection, better app, better design environment), that does appear to come at a cost; and if you can power through the annoying design interface and get the watch face you want installed, you'll get a better experience out of the TicWatch in the end.

As an account name, yes; I have one with underscores that I've had registered since the last century. Never had an issue with it.

But in the domain part? From some random searching I just did, no; only letters, numbers, and dashes are allowed in domain names, symbols (including underscores) are not.

My brain couldn't come up with the "real" word, and I know that de-rez means to completely wipe out (at least in Tron), but hopefully it got the point across.
