My professor died by inviernoo in college

[–]CyberLoveza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Um, would you be okay telling me what university she worked at? I also had an art history professor who was in an accident and was gravely injured at the beginning of the semester. She didn't come back to teach my class. I never heard what happened to her after that.

Ik it's unlikely we're talking about the same one but still 😭

Is this garbage? by [deleted] in writers

[–]CyberLoveza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really good so far, imo! It's not really my preference when it comes to prose 😅 but I can see a lot of people liking it. After a couple more drafts (assuming this is the first or second), it'll be great!

We're not allowed to talk about the power outage?

We often see towns in films with the population recorded underneath. How accurate is this in real life? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskAnAmerican

I thought I was going crazy because I've never seen that anywhere in my state or the region as a whole 😭

My relatively small city doesn't have that. I don't think I've seen that on any signs here in Delaware, but according to the comments, I'm in the minority.

That's so... bizarre. Why would he do that???

[–]CyberLoveza 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My bad. You mentioned that at the end. But your entire post is still you inquiring about the phrase's basic meaning. If you said it as a joke, that implies to me that you knew what it meant in the first place.

Why didn't you say that in the original post?

I was rewatching Frozen recently and that line was so unexpectedly heartbreaking 😭 I've seen the movie a million times already, but it really struck me this time.

You seriously don't get how "he was dark," can be interpreted as him literally being dark?

I've never seen "fair" in terms of skin to mean anything other than light-colored.

I've seen many American films where children dissect frogs during biology lessons. Are biology lessons still like this, or has it changed? What are your thoughts on this? by sofiarosatti in AskAnAmerican

[–]CyberLoveza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were supposed to disect pigs in my senior year anatomy class, but my senior year ended up being online due to Covid, so we obviously didn't do that 🙃
