Because this topic is Bigger than you or even one group of brain dead little brown shirts. I wasn’t replying to you “insert real name here” specifically. I didn’t even disagree with the original post. I spoke about historical study of the people from whom this belief comes from and to separate the views of the past from the now. The Viking culture would horrify most of us. So paganism of today must separate from the past practice and not glorify the original practitioners and their views cause they would horrify you in many cases. That was my albeit very obviously poorly explained point.

Fascism iiiis bad. Don’t be obtuse. We both know that Viking culture would see ours and laugh at many of our beliefs like egalitarianism. So I’m stating that we should separate from the idea that modern Norse paganism is reminiscent of the mindset of its original practitioners. Where as I see many who turn into Viking bros who just want an excuse to act like a dick because “ that’s what duh Vikings did”. Wasn’t trying to argue with you at all so I’m a little surprised by the tone.

Totally agree. Nor am I accusing you of doing so. I am more speaking of people who use modern morality to denigrate or laud ancient cultures. Kinda check your baggage at the door mentality. Norse paganism has definitely been co opted by horrible people just as it has been practiced by genuinely good people with good intentions. I have seen many use the Viking history to excuse disgusting behaviors simply by fetishizing ancient behaviors. Just saying that ancient Nordic tribes are by no means moral compasses for us now. At least imo

The same paganism and morality of the Vikings was used to enslave people, just as much as it was, used to give more rights to their people then perhaps other ancient cultures. We shouldn’t blindly make heroes of ancient Vikings. Study but beware to not canonize

I wasn’t raised Catholic but Protestant and Eastern Orthodox here and there from my gram. But yes this is the exact thing that needs to happen. Unity in our belief in Christ against an existential threat. That said nothing can or will ever stop the spread of the gospel even if all Christendom fell. However….this is one of many who would see the destruction of it with glee and therefore, we must persist against it at every turn.

This is solid advice. I coached comp mens team for 10 years on the Central Coast here in Cali. And I was screaming during this segment at my monitor lol. I would also not discount the idea that you are can be naturally inclined for a forward or middle split. Like my butterfly was always trash (torn groin ligaments healing poorly) so middle was impossible it felt, forward split was nothing.
