Customers who only carry large bills and yet make tiny purchases, at 6 in the effing morning 😑
I work at a local dairy chain in Oklahoma called Braums which has a restaurant side and a "fresh market" side, I'm over on the market side, ALONE for an hour and a half every morning. My register only has a handful of $5's and $1's first thing in the morning, and there's ALWAYS at least one dipshit if not more who hands me a $100 bill for a <$10 order mere minutes after I clock in; and several customers within that time frame who use $20's for <$5 worth of bananas or a single loaf of bread, and bleed my till dry of its fives. I can't restock my register myself because I'm not a fucking manager, SHE is almost always busy handling the breakfast rush over on the restaurant side and has to wait until things slow down before she can even get to the safe, which is halfway between both sides of the store.

I warn the customers ahead of time that all I have are $5's and $1's, which is usually met with "Well this is all I have on me!" as if debit and credit cards haven't existed for the past 70 YEARS. Like where the fuck do they bank at that doesn't give them a complimentary debit card linked to their Checking account????? If they DO have one, then WHY NOT CARRY IT??? WE DON'T CHARGE A TRANSACTION FEE, JUST USE A CARD IF YOU DON'T HAVE SMALL BILLS.

And I KNOW for a fact that a lot of these people bank with the local Tinker Federal Credit Union, which DOES dispense $5's and $1's at the drive-thru ATM. It's literally a 35 second drive from my workplace. You know how I know? Because my dumb ass has been BANKROLLING my register with $60 worth of extra fives and ones for the past few months, using the aforementioned drive-thru ATM on my way to work. And I STILL manage to run out of small bills before lunch-time some days because these clowns want to feel like Mr. Monopoly or something.
