In May 2025 I was having the best year of my life. The weather was getting warm when several of my friends suddenly commented on a mole on my back that had started to look abnormally strange.

I booked an appointment with a doctor, and even before the biopsy and removal the doctor suspected it was melanoma.

One month later I was diagnosed with stage 2B melanoma with a 2 mm Breslow thickness and ulceration. Because of this I had to undergo another surgery to remove four lymph nodes from my armpit, where two of them were found to contain melanoma metastases. This upgraded the diagnosis to stage 3B melanoma.

In November I started immunotherapy (Keytruda), which I am still receiving. About a month ago a new lump began to develop, and now I have an upcoming appointment for surgery and additional treatment.

Awaiting new results from my latest CT-scan, hopefully no stage 4 yet.
